OK, I've heard about that too. It's a little bit of both, some helped and some haven't, as always.
Read how Jews from the Nazi camp in Warsaw were saved by insurgents in 1944. Some of them joined Polish units and fought like mad.

Either way, it was hopeless. Logically thinking, you couldn't expect any help from the Soviets anyway (already explained it earlier in this thread).
In 1943, The General Uprising of Jews and Poles had no chance of winning for one simple reason: the Eastern front (read: with Soviets who were our "allies" against Nazis) was still 1000 kilometeres away and Germans were fighting hard there.
Either way, it was hopeless. Logically thinking, you couldn't expect any help from the Soviets anyway (already explained it earlier in this thread).

It had something to do with Stalin not wanting to help Poland because Poland didn't have much to offer back then (and would certainly not freely join Stalin's political block either) unlike the US and GB. I'm sure, I don't have to send you a link to confirm what kind of help it was.

You should have done it in 1943 (Warsaw Ghetto Uprising), together with your Jewish countrymen. You probably wouldn't beat the Nazis either but you'd make it last longer (speculation, I know).

It still doesn't indicate that this is a very common situation but I'll tell you what's pretty common in the US, many of your countrymen overstay visa and that's why, you guys are having problems with obtaining visa to the US to begin with.
The famous case of Zakopower folk group in 2009. Part of the group were allowed in, the other part, with the same visas, on another day, were denied entry.

I know about Poles having problems with obtaining visa to the US but never heard about Poles being send back to Poland when entering the country with a legal document but even if your claim is correct (which I doubt), denying Americans to stay at your hotels, won't help your case either.
Do you know ha many Poles every year are stopped and sent back on the next flight home after obtaining a visa in the US consulate.

If this will ever become public in the US, don't be surprised if there will be a lot more of anti Polish sentiment here (and rightly so). You wanna play your "arrogant" games, you gotta live with the consequences of it. I've never heard of American hotels refusing Poles.
