I don't care that much about this part of the world. It is not in the focus of my attention. lol
So I put it here as a guess.
Israel is a proxy for the US. Something like Prussia was in the 19th century for the British in Europe.
Israel's role is to prevent the two sides of the region's powers from prevailing, to keep the balance of power between them, two opposing forces, let's name one to simplify ( there are more than two sides there ), Persia, and the others, Arabia. Our boy is meddling, keeping one and the other pitted against each other, but also preventing them from gaining an upper hand and from exercising dominance. How they are doing it - by creating chaos.
No real stabilization, no dominant power or powers, no common stance about oil. That would exert a heavy influence on the world for good or bad. Control would be out of the US's hands.
All thanks to puny Israel and their dogs of war, financed by a mere few billions, that amount of money makes no dent in the pockets of the US taxpayers.
