Have I already written that the number of students with depressive disorders have doubled after PiS reform? So, yes, it is true, the schoolyear 2019/20209 was a record one in this matter. Previously, we had dealt with one case of a depressive student per class on average. Now, it is 2,3 with confirmed depression and other psychic problems which require special approach. That is unbelievable.
I was thinking a lot about the reasons. The reform shortened 3 years of previous junior high school into two final years of primary school - year 7 and 8. Before, primary school had lasted 6 years.
Students and teachers weren`t given a choice - they have had to cover the material of 3 years within 2 years coz the requirements stayed THE SAME! Can you imagine it? In result, teachers pressed on students to work extremely hard both at school and home - parents were furious, too coz they had to help their ambitious kids with homework till late evening.
No wonder it all produced more disorders in kids as they weren`t able to fulfill the requirements and simply snapped under the burden.
Thank you, PiS.
