who the hell wants to be an old man teaching kids?

your disgusting, how can you say this? so I take it your not out to marry and have
children, cause the greatest teaching jobs start at home and theres no pay to go along
with it.

its something that should be done without compensation and willingness to share
your knowledge, no matter what age you are.. and the best knowledge comes from
those who experience it.

This is a bucket of wealth all on its own. and you wouldnt be where your at today if
someone didnt mentor you or teach you..

now I know you a full of hot air. what a waste.

?...I usually fry mine in butter, or boil them...I like potato pierogi, cabbage or cheese...

well, i usually wave them around the kitchen and do my war cry iieeeeeee... then i say
get out of the fire and into the pan you pierogi !!

...I put a little hot sauce and maybe a little ketchup on mine...

now I love my ketchup, but I tend to lean towards the sour cream and I do fry them with
onions.. oh I repeat the same with the sausage too right before I cook it.. :)

All Poles or diaspora Poles should make an attempt to stick together

I believe they are,, I have seen quite a few take up for us. even though there are so many
trying to divide ..

Slavs, we are all cousins...Let's celebrate our culture and history, not quibble over bull****...Time for Polish/Slavic unity, no?

crow.......... where are you??? we need slavic unity.. lets form a polish forum union
:)

They're about as cowardly as it gets.

yeah, well I have a news flash......... they dont wave anything around, most of them
died like in 1950s or so, pretty sick man you are to call a dead immigrant a coward.. no
wait, you call a million of them cowards.. I hope they come back and haunt your
underwear drawer!!

Waving pierogi around while hiding behind Reagan's nuclear bombs does not mean you're a patriot!

another news flash................Reagan died too... ahem.. ( folds hands and puts head down
in respect).

The ones who ran away in the 60's/70's were just cowards all the same.

when did you immigrate to poland ? cause you must be a coward to not stay in your own
backyard and take whatever job was left .. yeah, you shouldnt have moved to poland
to teach, cause your a coward for not teaching your scottish children.. leaving when they
needed you most.. taking up and leaving like that for a better future.. shame on you , you
bad bad bad man... some poor little girl or boy in scotland is waiting for a brave old coot
like you to give them hope. but, alas.. they will never have the chance, cause the coward
scottish who left to go better himself in another country and pretend to be polish and like
them .. sad but true.

(one thing's for certain - this thread proves that the American Polonia are insecure people)

the only thing this thread proves is that you have a huge hatred towards American polonia and theres plenty of Polish citizens coming in and telling you to STFU because you have no

business talking crap about their family members.

I find it highly unlikely that many of the American Polonia have suffered for a day in their life.

so you think they just came over on a few dollars and all the sudden dorothy appears from
wizard of oz and says, hey, i have connections, let me set you up with some cash...

think again

ha ha AMEN.. I second that.

Some one has to be pretty messed up to call those Immigrants who came to America
cowards.. so the skirt wearing bagpipeblower spews alot of hot air.. yeah, thats what
I summed it up as.

there's anyone entitled to insult them and hurl abuse at them - IT'S ME!

I feel the brotherly love just oozing out of your post ;)

Life / Womans day in Poland? [242]

Let`s be careful. Some of the posters pretend to be female while others pretend to be male. For fun. Everything they say should be taken with a grain of salt.

well thats sad that someone would pretend like that , so in essence this isnt the best
place to come and learn from others because so many are fake??

UK, Ireland / Corned beef & Cabbage are typically Irish? [98]

Probably the only real difference to my cooking and a typical babcia's is, I boil more veg rather than grate it raw.

what about steam cooked.

you can do that too :)

Americans ask dumb ass questions.

WOW I sense a rather large generalization here. ahem!!

ONLY ONE keeps asking these questions, but people seems to be answering now dont
they?? LOL

oh what is the saying, ask a stupid question get a stupid answer , but where is that
answer coming from? LOL

* runs away laughing* j/k blah hahahahaha

Travel / My visit to Poland - Likes & Dislikes. [137]

In my village not really but you have to keep in mind that half of the people living here have relatives abroad, most in US so it's in their interest to learn English. Sooner or later they will all travel there.

nope, cant have relatives that live in the states because they are only wannabes.
apparently..

but I am glad you pointed this out, because several people think that those polish
immigrants living in the states dont have any family in poland or they are so far
gone they wave around keilbasas and say you bet your bootie Im polish.

Genealogy / Poland Genealogy Resources [130]

have you used the steve morse website? very helpful for me as well I found my grandmother
via misspellings on that website, without the ability to misspell the names or only type in
three letters on each search box, I would not have found alot of my much needed documents
that I know are definitely part of my family ( thru parents names) age verification etc.

I know what your saying, some sites you cant view the source and do have to rely
on documentation you might already have or information you obtained via family.

anythings possible. ;)

Just FYI

this weekend is free on ancestry.com for the immigration.

I have found alot of good information and you are able to save to your computer or print

Life / Babcia or Busha - any social class difference? [359]

if you ask me, shame on the immigrants for not even using their own language correctly.

are you talking about your immigrant ancestors? the british came here long before the
polish did and it was your immigrant ancestors English that they picked up on.

but your immigrant ancestors didnt like your king, or nothing about your country, maybe
thats why there is variations. cause if someone over here said hey, can I have a fag,
well, lets just say eyes would turn.

maybe with common surnames, but I have not experienced any problems and have
actually matched both with documentation I currently have and what was online.

if you go on a wild quest finding every surname that matches of course your going to
head in a wrong direction.. the pilot is just a upgrade to what they already had..
and its linked to ellis island as well.. mis-spellings are common problem like wroclaw
has mentioned.. that will and can take you in a wrong direction.

but ellis island wont let us man-handle the manifest ourselfs, LDS-mormons did microfilm
all of what is online and you can go view the source and any center , which are located
in the states and europe.

A lot of people have recommended Cyndi's List,

I have not found it useful either. the mormons do have a very large collection going
and they now have a pilot site which is even more helpful then previously.

for anyone interested you will go to familysearch.org

then see prototype for searching millions of records

or just use the link below..

I used them and found quite a few more records then I had.. better resource then before.

Food / Bologna & onions in Poland? [44]

Bologna & onions has long been a family supper favourite

of course it is, that was one of our favs, my mom would put it on rye and mustard
even though ketchup was the usual, mustard was just as tasty.

we had hotdogs and beans too with onions.. I dont think we ever had many meals
where onions werent included.

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

The modern woman feels she should retain all traditional benefits and protections

Zim,What if the modern woman prefers the same sex, same as the modern man.

so who buys the ring in a same sex marriage?

whos the girl and whos the boy? who buys the rock and who buys the beer?

Now both of you, this is me being right and you two fcuktards being fcuktards. See these pearls of truth I'm sharing with you and cease being swine.

You know , I worked like 120 plus hours last couple weeks. one of my friends just
called and told my kid ( a 13 year old) to tell your mom that I get the f**kin Picture!
after I listened to her ( as friends do) about her significant other, who by the way
asked her to marry him like eons ago, but never sat down and actually planned a date
with her. so now they are breaking up or in the process, shes going thru mental issues
about his leaving her home with the kids constantly, never home, was told hes been
with other women, hes called her names, belittled her, made her feel like scum of the
earth.. so she is now carrying over this hurt to me.. by saying that I am ignoring her
because I am working 120 hours plus some in two week period, keeping my home running
keeping my bills payed, children happy, while doing everything else it is i have to do
as a mother, while putting up with friends treating me like this...

so I called her back, and told her to keep her ( business) in so many words to her
self. further telling her that I didnt appreciate her calling my home, telling my child
that on the phone.

These are the pearls of truth Im sharing with you..

* you seem like a very unpleasent person to be around* I at one point respected
your insights, but it seems like you are more focused on belittling rather then the
conversation. or even waiting till it was answered.

I am a very good person. so I would appreciate if you would just keep that in mind
as my intentions were not to argue or have that type of conversation with you.

Thanks

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

It is expected of him within North American society.

really?? do you know how to read sarcasm or does common sense blow right thru your
one strand of alph alpha hair?

[quote=Foreigner4] What's interesting is that you would equate buying an expensive ring for a woman to signify something more than what it is.

Im speaking of traditional weddings..our north american ones, you know the ones you
thought you had to tell me about.
I also didnt equate anything with it, most of the people I know arent married, its not
so traditional anymore , least not in this day and age..

maybe instead of tellin people to smarten up you should do the same.

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

why do women get the big diamond and men don't?

men get something but it isnt a diamond ..

but lets take a closer view of this.....

Isnt it the man who goes out and picks the ring???
so that would suggest hes making his betrothed the center of attention
because he wants to spend the rest of his life with her... correct??
Patrycja19

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

Yep, it means the woman is the center of attention. It's in your genes.

so you didnt get a ring zimmy? no wonder your so angry.

How spiritual. ...brings a tear to my eye.

finally, I thought you were full of cement!!

its good to see you coming to grips with your inner feelings :)

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

That's another reason why women expect diamond rings when they become engaged. ... that's why weddings are much more focused on the female who prefers to be the center of attention;... the list goes on (when you think about it).

Zimmy, knock it off, people get married together!! are you telling people that women
want rings?? how did you get married Zimmy?? did you pay the guy standing in front
of a gumball machine?? or did you go out and buy this ring ( because you were brought
up by your parents morals) to first date, then become official, then once things are
well planned out to eventually buy a ring ( because it means something) <~least its
supposed to.

all the weddings I know the men have a really good time having a bachlor party
renting a limo and heading to the nearest stripper bar or having one come to their
home or having a few of them come to their home..

its tradition, and theres plenty of women who are married that hated the whole planning
thing, its focused around the woman because most men dont know how to plan a
wedding and dont want to..

and in alot of weddings the brides parents do most of the planning and paying
anyways.

Life / Why so many Poles use a second hands clothes? [110]

when I was younger all my clothes were from my mother's friend

u think you had it rough?

my dad used to tell my mom to give me my brothers clothes, while all the other
little girls were wearing normal clothes, I didnt mind them from my cousin ( who
was a girl) but not my brothers, I would hide them at the bottom of my drawer for a long
time till it was safe to put in the pile of clothing going out to the thrift store..

one thing about polish, they are really really frugal with money, it was a chore
getting school clothes, but soon as I was able to buy my own, I worked and paid
for them. Paper routes, babysitting, any income was good income.

News / Do Poles in Poland really feel betrayed because there won't be any US Shield? [288]

Wow you must buy into anything they tell you? Yeah Germany, France and Britain are going to send their troops to die in the name of Poland, haha you are crazy. Same way they did in 39 eh? the same allies that just divieded up Poland and handed it to Russia after the war? those guys?

So what era are you living in?

that was 70 years ago, I doubt that poland will be divided and walls put up
dont worry, I dont think that will happen again..

but, with North korea acting up, do you suppose poland will gather up some troops
and help out the united states if we need you?

we know britian will be there.
