I remember when I lived in Florida, all the restaurants would add a 15% gratuity to the bill as soon as they heard a Eurp accent. They are notorious No- tippers! They play dumb like they dont understand but we all know its BS. Yet, when you go to Europe its ridiculously expensive.

Its only 8 hours from Chicago, still a long flight.


After your 5th or 6th castle you'll have enough. They all start looking the same after awhile. Its interesting but also extremely boring.

You could go to Zakopane in the winter for skiing.

Or Sopot? They have Bars and a beach, not sure if they swim there bc of the freezing ass water.

It would be nice if "Professor Know it All" would tell us tourists all the exciting places to visit in Poland.

He doesnt know otherwise he would have been flapping his gums bragging about it.

Thats why there are so many alcoholics in Poland. There is nothing to do but sit around and drink all the time.

There are some cool clubs in Krakow but how many times can you go there before it gets boring as well.

Same here, in joined in 2006 under a different U/N. My first forum as well. It was a lot more fun back then, before all the politics.

I have probably been here the longest out of anyone.

You would have to pay for the toilet paper if you did find one. I forgot to pay in Krakow and some old babcia started yelling at me while I was taking a pee. Fun times!

It wears off quickly though. How many castles can one look at? Krakow was fun bc they have nightlife and its mostly pretty. The part that doesnt have soot all over the buildings that is.


But youre going to miss out on riding on the monkeys tractor!

That is Polands #1 tourist destination. I didnt go there when I was in Krakow, its just too depressing for me.


Europe is expensive and the weather is usually gloomy most of the year. Many ppl dont have much money to spend either, so they have kind of an attitude if you do. And since youre an American the automatically assume youre rich.

You can do better with your money rather going to Europe. I want to check out Costa Rica someday.

I would be bored living in Poland after a month. There really isnt a lot to do and most places are boring and everyone stares at me. Nobody smiles either, except the girls when I speak my broken Polish.
