The address is 3173 Richmond St. When my fiance and I were in the states we went there for lunch, and I can assure they speak Polish as she was yapping away to them in Polish. There are about 6 or 7 different Polish stores, delis, etc, if you go to Richmond and E Allegheny Ave.

I'm talking about the mistakes I hear in everyday language when speaking English with Russian speakers. There are a load of prepositions missing where they should be, or improperly used choices of prepositions and conjunctions, or added in where there should be none. Anyone who has spoken to Russian native speakers for long enough can rattle off a list of errors in everyday speaking, which clearly Delph has never heard because what the OP wrote sounded fine.

Common things you'd hear... "join to us" instead of join us........ Go out from your apartment, instead of "come out"......... "one my friend" instead of "one OF my friends"....

The OP may not be a native English speaker, although I see no reason to believe that, but he wrote nothing that resembles the way a native Russian speaker would write in English.

I do. I can tell you this guy made none of the typical mistakes that native Russian speakers make. We would expect to see a lack of prepositions where they belong, and prepositions added into places they don't belong. For instance at the very end where he said "you don't agree with me," a native Russian speaker would make the common mistake of "you don't agree to me." In fact, I'd like to ask Delph what if anything in that guys entire writing makes him think the guy is a native Russian speaker? Point out the transference errors. I see none, he used no typical Russian grammar rules when writing in English.

Now the topic of this diatribe is similar to the stuff that comes out of 55 Savushkina, but really lacks a lot of typical 'what about isms' that you'd expect to find. I think Delph, you're using this 'Russian troll' thing as an excuse like you did in your last posting. So, again, please point out which specific transference errors you're referring to.

Let's be clear that I'm in Africa now, and the USG is paying my salary. Regardless, I've never 'trawled the internet' to find this information. I'd say it falls somewhere between common knowledge, and some of the threat analyses that we do. What I fail to hear from you Cms (and I'm a bit disappointed because you're one of the members whose opinion I disagree with but whom I respect) is any refutation of the things I've brought up, you refuse to engage at any level, and I imagine that's because your position is emotion based and you're heavily invested in a world view that can't be defended in the face of facts. If you said that yes, you realize that there will be a rise in rapes, trucks barreling over innocent people, bombs going off at concerts, and an uptick in crime and violence; but that you believe in some greater humanitarian good that justifies these things, that is at a least a defined position and we could have an intelligent discussion about it. About 20% (guesstimate) of the officers I've worked with in GCC countries vacation every year in America, Canada, the UK, or France. These are people who I would be delighted to call my neighbors. They are some of the most kind and welcoming people I've had the pleasure of meeting, far more friendly than the Ukrainians actually. If these were the sort of people showing up in Europe, I would not be opposed to their migration. You and I know however, that we are not getting the best and brightest. That's not accurate in the United States. It's far more costly to execute someone (around $10mil USD) because of the costs involved with appeals. I am not a supporter of the death penalty for murder in any country. It is generally proven not to be a deterrent, and the possibility of executing an innocent person scares me.

I have no such compunctions when it comes to executing communists who participated in the subjugation, suffering, and execution of their own countrymen.

I didn't catch that case, because on the whole, with some rare exceptions, Poles are not raping their way across Europe, driving laurry's into crowds during European holidays, or blowing themselves up at music concerts. Poles are not organizing a mass child rape organization like the Pakis in Rotheram were doing, and I've not read any cases where the victim was charged with a 'hate crime' (fake, made up term) for calling a Pole a pirogi. On the other hand, you've had to cherry pick a single case, I've just read it, it sounds like the police were negligent but that there was not an overall pattern of a deliberate cover up like in Rotheram.

I am not, I generally regard the degradation of free speech in the free world as a slippery slope which should be defended at all costs. In America we say, I may not agree with what you have to say, but I would fight to the death to defend your ability to say it. "Hate speech," is a made up, fake term, it has no basis in legal doctrine. Saying 'hateful' things is the same as saying 'mean' things, and they are at their core political thoughts. So we are dealing with criminalizing a political opinion. It is the most offensive, and the most detestable speech which must be defended, it is the precise reason for things like the 1st amendment. Protecting speech is not necessary for popular opinions that everyone holds, it is the minority opinions which must be protected from the majority. This is the reason our 1st amendment is listed first, and codified into law. Our Bill of Rights exists so that these unalienable rights are not subject to the whims of an electorate, so that rights cannot be voted away by a 51/49 mob rule.

I think you're right. But, likely his records were only examined because of his high profile nature, meaning the authorities used it as a weapon against his speech. Investigating people who have not committed a crime, but who say unpopular things, and using it as a way to stifle their speech is an egregious abuse of power.
