Law / A D-visa required? Info regarding emigrating to Poland. [5]

As a US citizen I don't think you need to apply for visa to visit Poland or any EU country. You can use your passport and legally spend up to 90 days in Poland on the US passport. While in Poland, you indeed have 90 days to apply for residency etc. Make sure you have all the original documents ready and you could translate them in Poland as they require translated documents. I'm not sure, but I think you can stay legally in Poland over 90 days as long as you have legally applied for work or study permit within 90 days and have a proof of it.

History / Historic Photos about Poland with Context [31]

Gemany-Poland: 1-0 (1974) - World Cup - exactly 50 years ago

The match went down in history under the name "Match on Water". A powerful cloudburst turned the pitch in Frankfurt am Main into one big puddle. The players played in abnormal conditions, and the stake of the match was to advance to the final of the World Cup. The hosts won after a goal by the "king of the field" aka "criminal" by Gerd Müller.

Life / Polish Classical Music [101]

Few music pieces are as beautiful as this one, it's the world's championship level. By Andrzej Kurylewicz -"Polskie drogi" (music for a Polish movie series from 1976):

Food / What's more popular in Poland beer or vodka? [59]

Poles, Austrians, and especially Czechs like their beer. A little surprising that Germans are not in top 5; perhaps because the Eastern migrants / nationals in Germany avoid drinking alcohol in general.

You can do this search: google.com/search?q=%22najlepszy+center%22 to find Polish articles using the word "center."

Because the word "center" is now used in everyday Polish, especially in the sports context but also others.

Only the American version is correct

Why even talk about the American version - the POLISH version is the litmus test here and it is "center" too ;)

Life / Poles turn their backs on organised religion. [148]

What makes you think that?

Historical evidence.

photos of our solar system

There is only one "composite" (ie. created by a computer) picture of the whole Earth from space. The picture is totally fake, but it's been circulated for decades now. There is no real picture of the whole earth from the space and there will never be.

your screenshot from a religious website

Your point about St. Paul establishing the church is like saying that the first man who spotted an elephant was the elephant's creator. To establish something, it first needs to be created either through knowledge / wisdom or physically. Jesus, through His teachings, established the Christian religion and the church.

St Paul did.

Ref: picture below plus thousands of various sources confirming this simple fact.

Centre, not "center", btw.

Both are correct. "Center" is in American English.

Do you think the planets and our star revolve around earth? Why?

Because that's how God created them. All those NASA pictures, "alien" movies, and related theories are manufactured nonsense, but you may check my other thread to follow if you like these topics.

Life / Poles turn their backs on organised religion. [148]

Jesus established the Church and is the Head of the Church. Anything else is just a creation of humans who want to live in the flesh. Protestants and other arms of Christianity think they can make things better than God Himself.

Notice that both Kopernik and Luther literately lived in the same period and might have even personally met. Kopernik came up with a nonsense theory that the Earth is not the center of the universe (which was a basis of all the other ridiculous physics theories we have today) and Luther also radically changed the religion (initially, his motives were good but they got corrupted to the point of no return today).

Watch some of the videos where Protestants protect the "just faith will save us" doctrine. Perhaps they don't formally teach it, but in real life you can see how they want to have their cake and eat it too. They behave like spoiled kids who just want to live in the flesh but also have a guaranteed ticket to Heaven. They have nothing against divorce etc. This is what made me wonder about this whole Protestantism movement.

I've also noticed that the protestant church has been becoming a "popular" arm of Christianity; in Poland too.

But have you ever wondered why? The main reason is that Protestants think that just pure "faith" will save them from hell.

Translation: we can do as we please, don't have to do any good deeds, the 10 commandments don't apply to us, and we can sin as much as we can, but if we "believe" in God, He doesn't mind us living in line with satan and He will always forgive us. It is a devastating mockery of God and faith. Do they really think God is so naive? The bible has dozens of warnings about such "faith."

If you "believe" in something in real life, you don't contradict it in your actions. If you "believe" vegan diet is good for you, you don't eat meat every day. But that's what Protestants do.

News / Is NORD STREAM dangerous for Poland's natural enviroment? [540]

What does Poland have to offer except goods

Not much. All those economic "strefas" created in Poland are just designated zones for foreign (mostly German) companies to pollute Poland from inside. Sure, they give temporary employment and economic development to Poland, but at the end of the day the foreign EU companies will own it all. Still, is there any viable alternative? Probably not in the short to medium term. It is what it is and the current deal is better than nothing..

Work / I am a Nigerian looking for job opportunities in Poland [30]

It's not fair to say that, generalization that is. He could say that Polish people loved communism so much that they've been electing communists at a 99% rate for half a century. Common people have no say when corruption runs all levels of the government.

Travel / Driving in Poland without a driving license? [4]

So you have a car but don't have a driving license? That's strange. Still, they aren't likely to investigate it, but they may (possibly already did) put your PESEL into the central system and you may be flagged on your next encounter with the police.

The "New Wave" movements have corrupted the Polish minds too, but such books have been popular for a few decades now in Poland. It's not something that happened yesterday.

History / Why American military aid to Europe and Poland is important to America itself? [212]

Of course the US doesn't technically need NATO. However, does Apple or Gorg (google) need China? They don't, but they will virtually do anything (including 100% censorship) to do business in China. US tax payers are scammed for paying this much to support NATO or Pentagon; if given a choice (referendum), most of them would want the US to pull out of Nato, but due to the reasons I mentioned above it's not going to happen and the business will go on as usual.

spending 1 trillion of taxpayers' money

So it works as planned, the money go to private military contractors supported by certain US senators (that's how they got into the power), US banks, hedge funds, etc. They don't care about US taxpayers, either. Do politicians care about tax payers? Nope.

NATO is business for the US (selling US-made military equipment, annual contribution fees, etc). In return, Europe gets a "sense" of stability. It's a little like paying body guards; they may not be needed 364 days a year, but if they are and you don't have them, you're screwed. Or like with a regular insurance, you pay 10 years for "nothing" but one year could save you.

Novi, you keep asking these stupid questions resulted from the left's idiocy; why keep adding energy to that. The answer is obvious and you can take a printed encyclopedia published before 1990 to get an answer which is "no".

Off-Topic / Brother missing in Poland [6]

A long shot would be to publish the car's plate number and/or a picture of your brother. You may also contact a detective service in Poland: google.com/search?q=detektyw+zaginiona+osoba+w+polsce (translate the page to your language) who may be able to have access to traffic data as they probably record license plates at strategic places. It will cost some money. A detective may be able to check Poland's surrounding border traffic data (Germany, Czechia, Slovakia) to make sure he didn't cross the border lines there.

I'd also keep trying to contact the police and at a minimum send them the car's plate numbers and maybe even tell them the driver has no valid license and/or may be on drugs; it may alert them enough to do something. Maybe focus on the border police departments, not a regular inland police. You could actually contact the border police in Germany/Czechia/Slovakia too and provide the license plate information.
