Love / How Do You Feel About a Black man marrying Polish Women? [157]

I was talking about monogamous marriage

It certainly happens ere in Warsaw. When you see a family with members who have different skin colours, people still notice that here, unlike in the UK or France where it's so normal that people don't notice it.

as long as they both love each other

That's everything.

News / Poland on course to end European winter/summer time [19]

UK-Portugal time

That isn't a great thing; Scotland doesn't like it much. When there was a proposal to return to Double British Summer Time (which they had in the war to help farmers) Scotland was very against; they'd be dark for most of the morning.

With time changes, there are people in ny given zone who gain, and those who lose. For Spain, they could comfortably be in the same zone as UK/Portugal. For others, not so comfortable.

Law / Which is the best city in Poland to open a kebab shop? [56]

Hmm, choosing only one cuisine is a bit risky now, in times of pandemics .

Very much so. In any case, tried and tested formats are usually the best idea unless you've a massive marketing budget.

Travel / Poland in photo riddles - part 2 [1680]

There are globe artichokes (karczochy) there. I can't figure out what's to their left, wrapped in plastic. They look like yellowish ogórki kiszone but maybe aren't.

Anyone want to chat.

There's a chat function on the top right of the main page. Not many people use it though.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

abortions in Poland

Best to lay off the drink and drugs before posting about serious matters. Especially ones which are dominating the news here in Poland and leading to large spontaneous demonstrations in most major cities.

This issue is going to run and run here. It's yet another extreme measure by a failing regime backed up by a religious body that is haemorrhaging adherents. We can expect more extreme measures, however so far, this one has provoked the strongest reaction among ordinary people here.

the same reason you interfere in American elections

No, I leave that to Putin.

You cant make a baby coz youre a homo

Do you think sexuality is the same as fertility. You have a lot to learn...

women decide

They are certainly being quite decisive here in Poland.

Tell us more...

You think the legal situation last week here in Poland was a "PC hell hole", whatever that is?

Perhaps you'd prefer these people in charge...

Kaja Godek, another religious fanatic

Here's the 'pro-life' Kaja Godek, should anyone reading this be unfamiliar with her.

They haven't quite got their heads round that yet. In the end, progress only heads in one direction.

Your saying there are no consequences to refusal of paying taxes?

Even today, you mentioned:

violence?

Twice even. Have you ever been threatened with violence by the tax office? All I've had is the occasional letter.

I did not state about any state not using taxes

Good, since taxes are an essential part of a cohesive society. Christianity (in Poland or elsewhere) does not oppose them.

It's not about being afraid to use violence, it's about not using it.

Taxation however is nothing to do with violence.

The state is not supposed to use violence against her own citizens, simple

Yet most if not all states do just that, including today's Poland.

I regard the higher the taxation there is in a society, the less trust it has in it's own society to solve problems,

Or perhaps the more trust it has in creating a cohesive society.

Not being afraid to seek conflict (verbally) is not the same as threatening somebody.

The driving out of the moneychangers shows He certainly wasn't afraid of violence.

More of the same rubbish, Bieggers. Especially the bit about HIV research.

And meanwhile the Pisuarzy use Covid as a cover to dog whistle to their declining support base.

Yet, when it comes to a stranger's child in a womb your mantra is "kill! Kill! KILL!"

Really?

Romans regarded their emperors as Gods?

Yes, for the people of the empire, they were Gods.

it was used during wartime or to prepare for war

In the UK it was introduced at the beginning of the 19th century. Without it, we would be living in a far worse environment.

Taxation is the entry fee to a civilised society.

I am simply confident that Jesus did not intend people to point guns at others to help the poor

the fittest survive in the long run despite all the efforts of human civilization.

This is very true. The anti-abortionists however seem to prefer that the weakest just suffer. Some of them believe that suffering is somehow 'worthy', and to be 'offered up'.

Hello Bieggers! Why not visit Poland and acquaint yourself (from an English language source that you can understand) about the issues here.

Coins that stated that Ceasers were divine were definatly not from the almighty father,

Can you be sure of that?

Forcing anyone to pay through taxes on the threat of jail

That's perfectly normal. Otherwise roads don't get built/repaired, armies/police don't get paid, museums, drainage, stations etc don't get built.

One is supposed to give it up willingly on an individual level to those in need,

Rather like the Islamic concept of Zakat?

Sadly there are still people pushing this myth.

"common knowledge"

Quite. Actual science and the consensus of medical opinion is always preferable to religious ideology when legislating about the human body.

Up to 20,000 people out on the streets of Warsaw about this last night, most of them women.
