Travel / Polish people have a weird attitude torwards tourists [82]

Communication though can be either aesthetically pleasing or ugly and purposely offensive-:)

Few things are more disgusting and offensive than deliberately talking over or under the other guy's level.
For aesthetically pleasing see William Buckley. Oops...he is dead. Then, try the Queen...Everywhere else, normal, everyday English will do fine. Or stay with yours.

It should work "on multitudinous occasions".

I'd go as far as to say such is a requirement.

Poles speak English well enough to eliminate the need to learn Polish for a two-week stay.

...as I've expatiated here on a number of occasions.

You are undermining your own point talking like this. Nobody says, "expatiated" and hopes to be understood by a minimum-wage girl serving lunch.

Quoting:

Expatiate in a Sentence:
A long-winded talker...
The congressman will expatiate for hours on the importance of educational spending.

If you want to converse with the locals and not make them roll their eyes, don't ever say, "expatiated".

How about: ...as I've often said here...

instead of :

...as I've expatiated here on a number of occasions.

just cut out that nonsense you only make a bigger fool of yourself ..

You know a better one? Spit it out...

Yes, fascism is ideology. But I reject it wholeheartedly.

Because you apply your own private definition of it and ignore the fact that, with the exception of the guilt-ridden Western freaks, the rest of the world is "fascist".

Quoting:

Fascism is a set of ideologies and practices that seeks to place the nation, defined in exclusive biological, cultural, and/or historical terms, above all other sources of loyalty, and to create a mobilized national community.

If a nation wants to keep foreigners away for ANY reason it's that nation's moral and legal right - just as you have the right both moral and legal to invite or not invite to your house anyone for any reason.

History / What do Poles owe to Jews? [599]

maybe their kids might one day be Norwegian.

Maybe and might are not legal terms.
Legally, what conditions one must meet to be seen by the current Norwegian government as a native-born Norwegian without asterisks, hyphens, buts, or however?
I am not talking about being a naturalized Norwegian citizen.

But it isn`t for the wearer`s sight, it is for others`. :)

Now you lost me...You are saying that some people spend dear money, risk infections, and look like idiots to entertain others? Tell me it ain't so...

in Norway the "Sami" are still considered immigrants

Anyone who is born in Norway, speaks Norwegian, and is 100% loyal to Norway is a Norwegian. Did I get it right?

I am not clear why anyone would want to expel or harm my family since we are like the rest of Americans in every single aspect. We speak only English and have nothing that would suggest that my wife and I came from Poland.

I speak the local language so I am not sure how your post relates to my case.
There are two kinds of minorities: by conquest and through immigration. Jews in Poland were immigrants and had a moral obligation to become indistinguishable from those who invited them. I moved to the US to be like them, language and loyalty included, not to add to "the Polish-American community".

News / Achievements of the Tusk's Polish government [538]

Discussions of violent crimes against children should never include those who are against the death penalty. At some point, the concept of forgiveness makes normal people literally sick. There should never be any and nothing in the life of the criminal should be used as mitigating factors. Especially the abuse he suffered as a kid.

To me, that's aggravating since the pos knows how it feels.

This conversation would benefit greatly if all that godly stuff was not included.
In fact, as I wrote before, priests raping kids prove that there is no such thing as God, Heaven, or Hell. If I were one of them, I would be more afraid of what awaits me after my death than while I am still here. They are not because they know there is nothing there. Just a story...

A prison with the dudes who intensely dislike child rapists is the only thing they are scared of. Hell? What's that?
Forgiveness is a medication for the weak.

Those who don't speak the local language are a hostile, parasitic, foreign tribe, and a tumor to be cut and expelled.

High degree of self-mutilation.

...for zero benefits. Even if it is better than Mona Lisa, a tattoo on the back is moronic since the wearer can't see it.

Self-mutilation with ink, like cutting, is self-hate or the world's dumbest way to get attention.

Language / Endearment, friendship, etc. in Polish [38]

How do you know what kind of tone I adopt when I speak to my students???? :):):)

If you actually mean it, it's worse. Do you think those kids can't see and count who gets those lovely "kochana" most of the time? Or do you keep track?

Language / Endearment, friendship, etc. in Polish [38]

I use it often when addressing students.

Then you are one sick puppy. In my entire life, no teacher ever used this word in the classroom. Later, I used "dear" in a meeting and the woman didn't speak to me for years.

"Kochana" or "dear" go with that special patronizing tone of voice we hate because it's used to show the speaker's superiority and an implied: Co ty tam wiesz...as a rhetorical non-question question.

Nie moj kochany, nastepne wybory wygra Tusk".

Exactly what I have been saying..."Kochany" is a patronizing putdown or a warning. There is no other application for that stupid word. Even between the parent and the child. As in: Kochany, can you explain this? The kid knows instantly it means trouble.

News / Chances of Poland in case of war between EU (ie western Europe) and Visegrad Group ? [80]

What use is there for the U.S.A other than her military?

I beg you...Please find the US totally useless as soon as possible. Dissolve NATO and stop sending your surplus production to us. And don't come here as tourists, visitors, immigrants, and students. Do all that and America will be grateful.

Almost forgot...Please move that who*rehouse, the UN, somewhere out of here...

so we can`t take it seriously.

But you could assume a full load of defending Europe by yourself. With the British and French nukes, the German economy, the total GNP and the population equal or better than in the US, it should be a fairly easy task.

No, I am not being funny or sarcastic.
BTW, Trump's idea of the US withdrawal should be seen as a compliment to Europe. Unless, of course, Europe is a whiny welfare queen with fat ass and varicose veins.

I am thinking Merkel. Miss Europe...

Isn't it wonderful?

Being on the US military welfare sure is.
If the Euros had any pride, they would tell the US to hit the road and proudly stand guard in defense of de-Americanized and free Europe by themselves. I will send 100 bucks if you do it.

Other values like democracy, decency, honesty, justice - are unimportant.

...but can easily be found in the Bidenland. Hahahahaha!!! Hahahahaha! I think I just peed...

Putinland.

That depends on what Putinland has to offer. Since you used the term, why don't you define it.
People will give up a lot for personal safety. The ruling mobs in Western "democracies" know it and that is why they like crime - both by the locals and the foreign scum they gladly import to the same effect. Plus, crime is good for employment in the law enforcement industry.

the first day of battle from thousands of missiles smashing your infrastructure to piece

You are assuming that Poland and other EE countries would not know about the impending doomsday until 10 minutes before the mayhem. Any such threat and Russia would gladly offer protection - for a price, of course. Hello, the USSR ver. 2. This time with Poland as one of the republics and without much opposition from the Poles.

Bottom line: I would trust Russia more than the US as a guarantor of Poland's survival.

It sure didn't take long to derail this thread.
Poles not liking foreigners is commendable. They never bring anything good - only misery, pollution, crowds, and higher prices. Even some Western go-to places have had it.
