Language / How to pronounce "y" in Polish? [28]

man, what you're on about? vowel sounds are the easiest part of learning Polish, maybe apart for "y" sound. All vowel sounds in Polish are short, you can make it long if you want to emphasize it but that's up to you and "tak" is always like "tack" never like "tuck" lol

Why can't you just accept the fact that non of the west slavic languages have ever used cyrillic alphabet cause we have nothing to do with that and we really don't care that Eastern Europe uses it, if they like it, so be it...

Polish on the other hand belongs to a language group many of whose representatives do use a non-Latin alphabet

so what? And England and Germany belongs to the continent (Europe) where cyrillic is used by countries like Russia and Ukraine....so should they change alphabet?

Line up a ginger-haired Scot, a Pole, a Spaniard, a Greek and a Jew of Baltic origin, and you would definitely see the difference in these almost equally-white people.

What if I lined up ginger-haired Pole there and the one with dark hair and dark eyes? would you be able to tell where they are from?

Well, most part of Russia is in Asia so many of them look more like Asians then Europeans.

many Britons would not fit into Poland.

In Poland we have a mixture of all types of looks from the whole Europe, show me the example of Briton that would not pass as a Pole.

Polish people in general, are in wishful thinking mode when they opened this thread and make ridiculous comments about Polish women being the best looking

Have you actually read the posts in this topic? Most of the posts here disagree with the subject and those who do not are usually made not by Polish people.
