the topic is serious, i mean ww1 and who started i etc and whose 'guilt' is it so why not make it a little bit more funny?

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

PS my wife is from Serbia and she says she is from Eastern Europe.

:) they have beautiful women there....

perhaps this explains why you think that Poland can be lumped in with Serbia as an eastern european country as
both countries are east of Yeovil

the definition where poland is located is now POLITIC and NOT geographic. if f.e. germany and france are geographically central europe then yes, poland is eastern europe. since poland is now member of the eu it sees itself as western eruope. furthermore the 40+ years in the wp gave the mark of an eastern country. that when the cold war was on and europe devided in east, wp, bad and west, nato, good ;)

would I be right in thinking that you are a bit of a Nazi?

crap.

What an offensive thing to say.

he seems to be a troll.

History / What do Poles owe to Germans? [451]

the stats i am referring to are european. u r right, all 3 rassen are very problematic by overbreeding but the leader in attacks, even if only by haaresbreite, is the german shephard.

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

and I see Poland in EU + NATO if that ain't a "club" then what is it? :)

yes, maybe, but the history in modern times is that what matters NOW to make a difference. keyword: warschauer pakt ;)

As if media were telling the truth now eh? enjoy your reality !

sorry iron, they are not??? ;)

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

That's just stupid then Norwegians could call Sweden an eastern European country just becaouse it's East from them? Come on!

obviously u did not understand what i meant. read my post again and think about the political development in europe.

norvegians would of course NOT call sweden eastern european country. thats the point. they are the 'same club'. ;)

The Germans called Austria "Austria", meaning "Eastern"

many germans consider oesterreich as its 17 bundesland. the title or name is irrelevant... ;))))

If you want to look at things black and white pls call Poland eastern Europe. It would only show what a type of person you are.

why? that kind of division doesnt have anything to do wiht geography. its purely political imo.

thats it and not only in the modern times. that started much earlier. it imo reflects just how the 'rest of europe' sees the countries eastern from them, of course with the adequate cronotation.

News / Should Poland leave the EU institution? [147]

If Poland was as powerful as Germany, would you agree to share power with the weaker rest?
I bet you wouldn`t.
Don`t accuse strong ones of being selfish neocolonialists.

i see that you prefer darwins view of the world. unfortunately we are not animals anymore. ;) still we share 98% of the apes genom. ;)

this u can only say if you are in a safe position. ask the people who do not have that. they will argue like ironside. furthermore the ideology of the eu is exactly the opposite of the current actions. that was/is one of its goals.

Poland would stand to lose a fair bit of trade through leaving the EU though other arrangements exist.

an eastern europe trading/military union is the alternative with the brics on the top ;)

News / Should Poland leave the EU institution? [147]

agreed, unfortunately. i mean now those 2 behave in europe like colonial forces....to their misfortune that is a short calculation, but hey, i/we are not politicians.

one thing is for sure, when germanics loose the temper or too much money in eu, the show is over.

History / What do Poles owe to Germans? [451]

I tend to think of Sascha usually as a Russian name.

here some info about my name. ;)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sascha

i am still 100% german and in my generation in gymnasium the only one with that 'strange' name. ;)

Germans and Russians get along very well with one another

they do. they have fear and respect for oneanother. :)

Are you German?

yes. 100%

Polish borrowed heavily from German in the Middle Ages because German law dominated Poland at the time.

nicely formulated. ;) maybe germanics 'ordered' to use their language to leave even more traces.... :)

hahahha. ur even more funny than i thought. :)

the language reflects the political power. thats it. if polish has many german words, that very well just reflect who dominated then. nothing else. same bs with english now, what i honestly very much regret. almost every language has its own words for theirs.

Let me remain sceptical about your views. :):):):)

gerne.

What matters is that each language is a living creature which thinks and acts on its own

that means by ur logic that each language 'by its own' integrates english words in its fund? thats bs.

If Polish deemed it necessary to adopt German words, it must have felt right to do so.

language simply refelects the situation in the society. anglo culture is now dominant and so is english language thats why we have that crap in our vocabulary.

The aim of this topic is not to teach grammar or stylistics, so can you keep your musings about titles to yourself?

i see that u r a serious guy. no humor then? a sarcastic spproach is also allowed. :)

You are wasting our time.

until now nothing 'breathtaking' from ur side in this thread. nothing new. so just a projection of urs?? ;)

What currency is 'hard'?

D mark ;)

Poland owes to Germany Auschwitz camp one of the most popular attractions visited every year by hundreds of thousands tourists bringing hard currency.

u can of course put it also that way.

still the prupose of this thread is not clear to me. i think it can more provoke bad associations than anything else. maybe the author can explain a little. :)
