UK, Ireland / Polish immigrants in the UK - victims or criminals?! [243]

westerners’ desperately looking for a Polish wife through matrimonial agencies in Poland

This should tell you that there is a business for cheap, desperate Polish women. You can't buy something that's not for sale.

In the U.K. something similar is going on. They believe that the U.K is superior to other countries and therefore, their collective ego dictates that they should reject other countries and its citizens.

So knowing this, why even go there? To wipe the a'sses of Anglos? Again, it's about respecting yourself. Nobody wants their people being hated on.

You should go back to Poland. Why stay in a country that is going to hate you? Don't you have any self respect? Is Poland really that bad? Let me guess, you went there to snag a rich westerner?

News / THE ARMY OF POLAND - THE REALITY [493]

The difference in quality of an individual soldier on every level (between Poland and Russia) is huge.

I still like to think that Poland could successfully defend itself against a country like Germany. I think the will to fight would be much stronger for a Pole than a Gerrie.

So does anyone know how the hell Germany was able acquire such a modern army once again? Their army should have no offensive capabilities. Does anyone think this alliance with America will help Poland modernize its military?

I'm a bit skeptical. C'mon, this is not 1939. "Massively more powerful"? That's quite a statement. I know Poland has decent military equipment now, no need to suck German d'icks again. Since the end of WWII Russia has been the unpredictable beast.

The Gerries would today still be a threat? I was hoping otherwise. What the hell's wrong with Polska?
As for non conscription, I just hope they know what they are doing. I would like to know that Poland is safe because they can actually protect themselves, not because the guy in the neighborhood is nice enough not to attack at the moment. Can NATO be really trusted in a serious conflict?

I apologize if this has been asked before but....

1- How strong is Poland's army as of today? Could they handle an attack on their territory (ex. Germany, Belarus. I know Russia would obviously be a problem.) I know this might be hard to answer because we do not have access to classified military information but if someone has educated guesses, then post here.

2- Why the hell doesn't Poland have mandatory conscription anymore?! What do they expect to do if there was a conflict? Use weekend warriors? Are there actual benefits to having a professional army?

News / Do Poles in Poland really feel betrayed because there won't be any US Shield? [288]

You'd like to think Europe would have stood up for us.

Yes that is annoying. You can't really trust anyone I guess. I heard some political analyst say that no country in the world, ever in history, has had the same interests in mind. Meaning we live in a selfish world where countries just look out for their own interests. But that is life I guess.

Now, why the hell are we discussing even the remote possibilty of Russia ever striking Poland with missiles? C'mon, I know they are a nationality with small brains and thuggish culture but I don't think they would ever actually go that far. Europe is interdependent- if one country does well than others benefit too. This includes doing business with the Russians.

I was wondering if anyone could answer this for me. Why doesn't Poland have nuclear weapons, considerring its history? And is Poland continuing to significantly fund its military? I read that soon Polands military will be volunteer service only. Like in Canada or America. Is this a good idea?

News / Do Poles in Poland really feel betrayed because there won't be any US Shield? [288]

Western Europe is angered at our dealings with the US and don't have a favorable view of Poland.

I respectfully disagree with some of your points. I still believe that Jewish Americans with signifcant influence in the American government are prohibitting Congress from abolishing visa's for Polish citizens. They have the most influential lobby group in America and consequently the USA and Israel are very tight. And it's no secret that Jews don't like Poles very much. There is no other logical explanation for it. Moving on... there is nothing wrong with doing business with the USA. I just think Poland should stop trying to support them whenever they holler. For example, helping them in Iraq was a great way for Polish troops to get experience in combat but installing the missile defense in Poland was maybe not the best idea. It would've been expensive and been a target for extremists. And I have nothing against Poland buying missiles or F-16's from the Yanks. A country has the right to arm itself any way it wants. And electing a more liberal government? Ha! Look at what liberal hippy bulls'hit has got western Europe into? Recession, debt and immigration problems. Poland's not doing that badly.

Polonia / POLES vs BULGARIANS [160]

He's being pessimistic, whereas you rychlik being optimistic and logically don't like what he's saying about your country. End of story.

That's it exactly. I have a right to be optimistic. Poland as a country has made major strides in the last 20 years. Many in the west call it a post communist success story and currently Poland is the only major country in Europe not in a recession. This is something to be proud of.

What annoys me most about this Bulgarian is that he is condescending in tone and seems to downplay Poland's achievements. He seems to be more hostile than me.

I should note that he was in Poland in '89 and I had a Bulgarian supervisor here in Toronto who before coming to Canada, worked in Wrocław. Is Poland somehow not welcoming to Bulgarians?

Polonia / POLES vs BULGARIANS [160]

Hehehehe- yes I might have to. It's very clear that he has an inferiority complex. I even told him this but he laughs at this with tears in eyes lol. Very strange fellow. Is unemployed and not making it in Canada. Says he wants to maybe go to Australia or back to Europe.

The other night we were talking politics and I said, "In about 20 years Poland will be an influential country in Europe."

His reply, "No because France won't allow it."

This is his attitude. He's not open to different points of view and acts like he has inside information. Hate people like this. I'm through talking with this idio't.

Why would a silly Bulgarian have something against a Pole??? Or even criticize them?
They're in a totally different corner of Europe. It's like me thinking I'm better than the Irish.

No.Bulgarians get along with Russians.Serbs on the other hand are friendly to Poles.

Interesting because he does speak of Russian "gifts" to the Slavic world. I laugh at this guy.
Pretends not to know any Polish vodka's either. I shake my head :) Polish vodka is widely available in Canadian liquor stores.

I do have to say though that this Bulgarian is 37 and unemployed. Still going to college. I suspect he might be a Gypsy (joking). Russia took a shi't and out came Bulgaria :)

Polonia / POLES vs BULGARIANS [160]

I live in Canada and have a roommate from Bulgaria. He's been here about 3 years and will most likely go back to Europe somewhere.

Anyways, I've noticed that this guy is very pro-German (he's been there 3 times) and overall very pro-West. Nothing wrong with that. But the thing that irritates me about this Bulgarian is that every time I try to speak with him about Poland and it's current politics, he gets condescending and goes against everything I say. He says that Poland isn't very democratic, that Eastern Europeans are all the same and that Poland will never be an economic power in Europe. The optimist that I am, we argue over this because I despise how he assumes to "know" everything about Poland. In fact he comes off insulting. I keep on telling this dum'b ox that Poland is not Bulgaria.

I've never seen an Eastern European be so critical of Poland- especially since he's a Balkan prick. Do the Poles, Bulgarians and people from the Balkans generally get along? I can never guess who has a beef with Poland and who doesn't :)

Love / POLISH WOMEN ARE PROMISCUOUS? DISCUSS. [153]

but a deeper wound created by one who probably went off happily with some other human of a different skin tone

You think too much. In Toronto I've been heard this "promiscuous" claim from Chinese and Middle Eastern guys. Sue me for wanting some answers. Like I said, Polish chicks seem like relationship types to me personally (positive trait). So you can imagine my surprise when I hear the "sl*t" claims. Who knows, maybe they give themselves up to exotic guys faster- I dunno. Maybe this is how it starts. If this is true than that would be a shame. A lot of the Eastern Euro chicks are seen as "easy" actually- Russians and Czechs too. Ain't that interesting? I hear the prn biz is huge in Prague- the biggest in Europe.

The point is that these stereotypes begin somewhere and if these girls wanna live up to that than so be it. But don't cry about it later.

I don’t agree. Personal freedom ends when somebody else’s pain begins. It's not ok to sleep with married man or woman under any circumstances. If they are both free it's another story.

Great point. People are naturally selfish sometimes. Every action you take has a consequence. But don't be surprised if your life turns to hell afterwards.

Anyways, I'm glad that people can discuss this topic in a mature fashion.

I dunno what to think anymore lol. But I've actually heard Polish women complain that British guys expect a lot quite fast because of their easy British "competition", if you know what I mean. Anyways, I'm glad my sis is going steady with her Croatian boyfriend. My parents keep an eye on her :)

Love / POLISH WOMEN ARE PROMISCUOUS? DISCUSS. [153]

Arabs have a view that every Polish lady is a slut. I think this is because of the large tourist groups that vacation in Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt. The trips are cheap from PL, lots of college aged girls go, and think "whatever happens there, stays there", and create a nice opininon for the rest of the Polish nationality.

That's the part that bugs me. It's no excuse. It doesn't change the fact that they act like sl*ts abroad. Then they bring AIDs back to Poland.

Love / POLISH WOMEN ARE PROMISCUOUS? DISCUSS. [153]

There is a popular belief (at least outside of Poland) that Polish women are promiscuous. I've been hearing this for a few years now from different non-white ethnic groups and sometimes I don't know what to say. Should I be offended? (I do have a sister after all) I guess it's all subjective really. But if you hear the same crap from time to time does it become the truth? It's like me saying that Asian women are submissive. Anyways, I'm living in Canada and don't really know too many Poles but the ones I've known have been pretty decent so I don't know where this started. I don't want to hear that the women in my culture are overly easy. Call me conservative. It's funny there's another topic about Polish girls being prudes.
