The PZHL is a disorganized mess. The PHL is operated like a kabab stand. The Federation refuses to join the 21st century because it would eliminate the social welfare provided by the Ministry.

The Polish federation has no clue how to operate professionally, and no player with half a brain would go to Poland to play for those in charge. The only way North Americans are coming to Poland is if real professionals are operating, and in Polish hockey there are a total of five professionally run operations, none of them are at the league or federation level, and two of the five are teams owned privately and not funded by any city tax money.

The best Polish athletes, regardless of sport, leave Poland to play anywhere else. Lewandowski for example. Poland simply refuses to grasp anything of a professional nature in any discipline. Frankly it is sad, and until the people milking the system are removed, nothing will change.

Actually only 2 Polish born players in the NHL in the modern era. 4 in total. Polish heritage players are large in number. In general though, the PHL is about equal to the ECHL in the USA for most teams, top teams are closer to AHL caliber. Not a single NHL prospect in the country though.

The guy most closely resembling the funny mustache donkey is leaving the White House. You really need to get a better understanding of history. While I personally disliked Trump for his divisional politics, his economic policy wasn't too bad. Also similar to the funny mustache donkey.

Biden is what he is, a politician a tax and spend democrat. A foreign policy experienced politician that other world leaders will respect, and Poland leaders fear. If the visa is extended, it is automatic and no appointment necessary. This only happens when there is an official announcement on that policy, which I dont believe has happened yet again, but may in the next 10 days.

Just back from Rynek. At least 30 police vans and cars full of officers protecting Mariacki. Not a single regular person standing in the way of thousands of protesters heading to the square. Two pubs open serving food and drinks outside and police doing nothing.

While I agree with a lot of what you both talk about, civil unions and marriages will never happen in Poland. It is a waste of time argument when the vast majority of Poles don't support it. If they want to get married do so in a different country that allows it. They should however be allowed to "will" their partners their property at death, and they should be allowed to have access to medical information if someone is in the hospital. Basic rights like that would be fair.

Focusing on this issue takes away from the real issue effecting everyone regardless of political affiliation. The economy, taxes, ZUS, entitlements, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and immigration. These are the issues, not gays.

I agree with your assessment in basic form. In the game of politics though, the threat of moving assets to a different country is very real. Trump is not always rational, and he doesn't really care about Duda or PiS. Trump wants what he wants and gets what he wants when it comes to personnel. He wont let PiS influence his choice. PiS runs the risk of pi$$ing Trump off and thats never wise. I think we can all agree on that.
