Exactly, Americans can speak English and still be Americans, Swiss can speak German, Italian and French and it doesn't make them Spanish :)
Yet, one have to speak Lithuanian to be Lithuanian, what that says about their cultural identity, that there is no much more to built upon than the language, an artificial division.
What does it say about attempts to reduce Polish language in Polish Schools in Lithuania? In the light of above it means offensive move to by administrative means change children's national identity.

Myths do not equal lies.
Myths are an result of focusing on positive and good facts from a collective history.
They are to provide a model for people to follow or at least to cherish.
Grown ups and educated people do realize that it all wasn't that rosy and nit. Books about that should be available for anybody willing to buy them. It doesn't mean that all failing should be a part of history curriculum
If adults are taken by surprise its their own bloody fault.
Because of their history Poles are more defensive about their past, it is understandable as for years and years the only thing they could do to defend themselves and their identity, was creating myths.
While others can always say - well, whatever, who cares? - even though those luckier nation are generally relay on myths themselves, at least general public does.
I must add that recently what can be observed in Poland (Gross and others) is not about myth busting is about creating new myths to manipulate general public in Poland into a guilt syndrome.
To hell with them and their apostles!

Although the number of Battle of Britain claims was overestimated (as with virtually all fighter units), No. 303 Squadron was one of the top fighter units in the battle and the best Hurricane-equipped one.

So, those undisciplined Poles were the very best in collective actions. Thats the way it should be, those aces regardless of their personal valors and skills were only focuses on because of the effect to morale of the civilian population. What was counting was that units killed more enemy unites with efficiency and with lower losses.
We may simplify assume that those myths about undisciplined Poles you can safety put on the shelf with a BS label on it.

I consider that reparation for damages and losses caused by said Germans to property of Poles - do you have problem with that ?
Not to mention lost of half of the territory to Soviets directly as a result of German action.

High standard, depends where and when, but definitely better than roads build even few years back, when after three months new surface sunk in so to speak.
If we talk about motorways how, only very few are being build right now. At the moment there is no much difference in than the state of roads before Poland's accession to The EU.

Geez, I-S, and what roads were built before Poland's accession to the EU compared to those, for example, in Croatia? Their big war only finished 16 years ago yet they still made inroads if you forgive the pun. Many things were not built prior to ratification.

Well, interesting angle, but it is nothing new. However you put it saying pointing at Kashubians and saying that they are Goths or their prodigy is an idiot. It doesn't works that way.
Different tribes mixed on those territories, and archaeological evidence is not going to answer layman questions - this is that and that is this .........firstly because nobody knows and secondly because they don't even know right questions.

Aviation is my hobby too (beginner :)), sky didn't investigate the Smolensk Crash and edit.
Neither of us is an expert, and simple true is that is that all evidence was in Russian hands and could have tampered with.
I think that is almost impossible to find out who or what was responsible.
Anyone one who is making presumption is not wise.
Maybe pilots are responsible maybe not, maybe it was an accident and then maybe not - thats all who any sentient being can say on the issue.
delph is just making monkey out of himself and I simply wonder what his issue is..? and some others to lesser degree ....

The big discussion back then was the CASA that went down at Miroslawiec. No lessons learned out of that tragic accident is just inexcusable. I'm not alone in my thinking on that... all the usual excuses came up, no time, no money, the problem has already been dealt with by firing a couple of guys.
that is a separate issue...
