That said, Czechia and Lithuania seems to have relative lax gun legislation and aren't violent.
Lithuania has 13,6 guns per 100 people, Czech Republic 12,5 per 100. Even if law is more lax, people in Europe simply don't feel a need to accumulate weapons.

You rattle on about population numbers, without taking into account that Poland's population per the land it currently inhabits is probably the highest it has ever been in history. Maybe the Polish people want more space? Maybe we want cheaper housing? Maybe we don't want to have to breed at gunpoint with the threat of mass immigration loaded in the gun? Maybe we will breed more in a generation or so? The world will not fu*cking end if your population decreases for a time. Do you realise that? Your people are more important than economic figures. Keeping that land for your people is more important than economic figures.

Between 2002 and 2021 inflation was within a manageable 0-5% yearly. The situation changed only during the final months of 2021, 2 years into covid epidemic. Central Bank responded by rapidly increasing interest rates:



The effectiveness of this instrument proved to be limited though because the government didn't play ball and kept on spending.

However if government would cut spending at the time central bank increased interest rates, we'd have 'cooling of the economy' below zero. Our growth would die and unemployment would skyrocket.

So now we have high inflation (but not the highest in the EU - the 'prize' goes to Hungary) but also the lowest unemployment in the EU.

Inflation in Poland is a result of numerous different factors:
- global post-Covid measures - printing lots of money finally caught up with us,
- result of the war (increase of food & oil prices) and the wave of refugees (increase in rent&housing prices).

Between 2002 and 2021 inflation was within a manageable 0-5% yearly. We even had deflation for a short period of 2015, so increasing public spending then was actually required. PiS expanding public spending caused inflation similar, even lower that during Civic Platform's miserly governments.
