News / Why is Poland so hostile against Germany? Do they realize how their reparations rubbish damages relations? [510]

I believe you should give up on your german hatred and move on.

Look who's talking :-D

It's a sad historical fact not hatred. Name one positive intereaction between Poland and Germany except after the year 1989

ajerkoniak, hohsztapler, majstersztyk, wihajster, urlop, fajerwerki, szyld, ratusz, szacować, warsztat

And let's not forget folksdojcz and szpicel :-P

No doubt the Polish partitions benefited Prussia

It's also worth mentioning that Poland has created Prussia. A new Prussia that is, because old genuine Prussians were slaughtered by Teutons. It was Konrad of Mazovia has invited Teotonic order to Poland and that was one of the biggest mistakes in our history. I stand by my opinion that nothing good ever came to us from Germany.

That said, whenever you start feeling proud of "being of prussian" heritage remember that we've made you.

De facto, Spike31?

And de jure as well

"Foreign armies are still based on German soil and Europe's largest and most prosperous "democracy" still lacks a constitution and a peace treaty putting a formal end to the Second World War. For Germany, World War II, like the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, lacks formal legal closure because a peace treaty has never been signed between the Allies and Germany."

News / Is NORD STREAM dangerous for Poland's natural enviroment? [516]

Russians claim that they will finish the missing 160 (out of 2500km) by the beginning of 2021. So without Swiss it will take them 15 months to do so. Some sources claim that they don't have technology to finish it at all.

worldoil.com/news/2020/2/14/us-says-sanctions-mean-russia-can-t-finish-nord-stream-2-pipeline.

This way or another, they are angry because of the delay they had to sign a new gas deal with Ukraine which they preferred to avoid.

History / Poland - problem for Germany? (historically continual hostility of German state on Poland) [154]

Well, all I can say is that I'm hoping that people who think like you would rule Germany one day and dissipate all the soft political power that Germany still possess to create more room for us to grow.

As a side note: Poland is more than twice as big trading partner of Germany than Russia. And also Poland+Czech+Hungary is by far the bigger trade partner for Germany than France, or China or the US. Shows how much you really know

News / Is NORD STREAM dangerous for Poland's natural enviroment? [516]

[moved from]

Countries like Poland and the Ukraine are also receiving Russian gas

And that's the whole point. When Russians had to transport their gas through Ukraine and Belarus they couldn't cut those countries off entirely. When/if nord stream II would be completed, Russians can send it through Nord Stream pipes and cut off Yamal pipeline and put great political and economical pressure on those countries.

The possible anschluss of Belarus by Russia would be one of possible side effects of this deal*

nytimes.com/2020/02/07/world/europe/belarus-lukashenko-russia-putin.html

Nord Stream II comes at a price of alienating Poland and Baltic states.

Poland with an LNG terminal and a Baltic Pipe project on the way will be safe from Russian threat and will also become a more natural gas supplier for V4 and 3SI countries than Germany. So you may not even achieve your goal of becoming a gas hub for Central Europe.

News / Modern F-35 bought by Poland. Good decision? [288]

Will be interetsing when Germany swings to the right as well.

Slim chance, only a state within state that is East Germany is right leaning. The rest of Germany is left leaning and considers those left leaning centrists from CDU/CSU to be a conservative right ;-)

As long as Poland makes use of single market to grow its economy I'm totally fine with that. The rest is just a left-leaning ideological rubbish

Few things have been more desired in Germany than for Poland to become wealthy and thus buy more of our products.

On the contrary. In German interest is to keep Polish, and other CE economies, as a subordinate economies complimenting a German industry and not directly competing with it. Obviously this is against the best interest of Poland.

In the past those kind of tensions were being "resolved" by a military actions which option is unavailable for you due to obvious reasons. All you can do is to try to influence the politics in Poland, but don't fool yourself - the swing to the right in Poland is a long term trend. And the way I see it, Poland is now much more politically stable than Germany is.

News / Presidential elections 2020 - your opinions about campaign, candidates [2222]

The fact that Andrzej Duda will win the upcoming presiential elections is almost certain. The question is: is there going to be a second round or not? I think there will be. Kosiak-Kamysz would be the most dangerous opponent for Duda because he could take over centrist voters, and also because he doesn't have as much "negative electorate" as the other candidates. Fortunately, great political strategists from "total opposition" have decided to promote a dummy known as Kidawa, maiden name "Faux-pas", instead so they're heading for a certain failure :-).

Apart of that Duda will be attacked from a right side by Bosak from Konfederacja who will take over conservatives and right-wing voters dissapointed with PiS and from the left side by a homo-mascot Biedron, with whom he doesn't share any electorate.

If Poland was a "weak post communist small eastern european country" (well, actually the size of Poland is equal to Germany and we're both placed well within Central Europe) you wouldn't have to repeat this mantra like a broken record all the time because it would be self evident :-) Who are you trying to convince: the others or just youself?

The fact is that Germany is uncomfortable with growing econo-political position of Poland and with the political innitiatives Poland is part of/creator in Central Europe. And also because Poland is reaching beyond Europe, especially to the US.

Germany's political influence, due to various reasons, has decreased greatly in recent years, and especially after 2015 "refugee" crisis...

Love / Do Polish men make good husbands? [106]

My question is where are these hot women ?

I used to train Dutch kickboxing and we've had few girls (3 girls in ~ 20 men group) traininig with us. Two of them were really good looking, and one was a 9 out of 10. Initially I though that they are proper tomboys; what girl would pick up Dutch kickboxing and train with men in her spare time?

I though that way only until I got invited to one of those girls birthday party and saw her wearing a sundress serving us an apple pie that she has made herself (cooking was apparently her other hobby). Wild cat in a gym and a proper 'housewife' in her house.

Only after a while I understood that they were just looking for proper men. Yes, there's not much of a sex war going on in Poland...

All the Polish women I know today are more masculine than men

It goes like this: a feminine man attacts a masculine women, and a masculine men attracts feminine women :-)

I would love a Polish husband. I don't care if I have to do house chores and cook, if he takes me to bed after

Take example, ladies :-P

News / Modern F-35 bought by Poland. Good decision? [288]

@AntV

Since Britain and Italy are switching from EF to F-35 and Poland, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands and Norway have also picked F-35 I don't think there's any room left for a major EU fighter. And outside of Europe Australia, South Korea, Japan and the US have also bought them.

Sweden has its Grippens which they've also sold to Hungary and Czech rep.

Which leaves us with Spain, France and Germany to start a new multi-billion project. Yet the new jet fighter is projected to be operational by the year...2040.

@pawian

The thing is that so called "total opposition" PO-PSL+postcommies doesn't have any intelectual or mental capacity to take back the power.

They don't have any solid plans on how to rule the country nor elites who would carry it out and create ideas which would benefit the nation. They don't offer any constructive solutions for Poland and their only political "plan" is to remove PiS from power at all cost (including snitching to Brussels)...

All they can do it to re-act (poorly...) to new political situations generated by PiS.

The only constructive opposition to PiS is Konfederacja. 11 MEPs from Konfederacja introduce more quality to the parliament and makes more political difference that the whole "total opposition" combined.

It's thanks to them the whole "447" scandal has reached public opinion in Poland, which also pushed Kaczynski to make a public delaration about it. The same with a scandal of sexual indoctrination of children in schools by LGBT movement.

It was also Konfederacja who has forced PiS to remove post-commie SLD mep from the parliamentary commission about social politics and family.

News / Why is Poland so hostile against Germany? Do they realize how their reparations rubbish damages relations? [510]

religion is the center of their system and they cannit imagine someone can come to the same point without it.

It is due to the fact that even those Europeans who call themselves "atheists" or "pagans" were formed by Christian traditions and civilization in which they grew up. They're submerged in it to the point that we don't even realize and take it for granted like the air around us.

But here's a catch: when a society stops cultivating those values all those things which we've taken for granted will disappear. Forming a civilized society is not a single act but a regular habit.

We've had a few recent examples when the whole societies wanted to remove/replace traditional values based on a Christian traditions with some other values. Nazism, Communism...it all ended badly

@Weimarer

Since you're a proud pagan then why do you find such a pride in German history and civilization which was founded and based on Christianity?

It was Hitler who found Christianity to be a "burden" and wanted to promote neopaganism as a new official 'pangermanic' religion. You've criticized him for hating German traditions.

Is this that famous "German soul" full of contradictions or a simple lack of logic?

And mind this that I only discuss those matters since I've found some sense in some of your opinions. I wouldn't waste my time on some dumb neo-nazi.

I'm glad that you find calling someone "a communist" an insult. We're on the same page here :-)

ends justify the means

Not all means and not all ends. You may understand that one day.
