Does anyone recall AmirahJanowitz who was American, had a Polish husband and had visited London many times...she ended up spewing some really vicious hatred against Poland and Polish people...she got banned.....I'm not saying there is a connection...but I do spot some similarites.......same troll, different name perhaps :(

I was referring to Lir's and your opinion of Murzynka, not Murzynka's opinion.

I'm not actually sure what Murzynka's opinion really is, nothing about her actually rings true

Ok Puzz and I have to remain true to the principle of being honest as I see it.

LIR wasn't denying or disowning you, simply stating that she doesn't know you, other than your posts on the forum, therefore her posts were not influenced by you.

I think Murzynka accused Lir of ganging up with you aginst her, which was not the case. If Lir has formed the same opinion of Murzynka as yourself, without any influence from you, then surely that adds credence to that formed opinion.

The September issue of Multi Cultural matters has shown the results of a survey in europe regarding racial tolerence.

The report shows that while 25% of Britons say they want to live in an area where ‘almost nobody is of a different race, colour or ethnic group from most people living in this country’, this actually places the UK amongst the most tolerant nations in Europe given the comparable percentages for other countries which are -

The report shows that the majority of people in the UK identify most strongly with their locality or town over regional, national or global identity: 56% of the population identify with locality first, compared with 25% that identify with the nation, and this is something that cuts across the generations. The report argues that a new national day should allow people to celebrate their local as well as national identity.

The suggestion has not gone down well with everyone - Neil Carberry, Head of Employment Policy at the CBI, is quoted in the press as saying that although the idea of celebrating national heroes was a "positive one", there was "no reason" why this could not be done on an existing bank holiday. He believes that an extra bank holiday could cost the economy up to £6 billion.

relative of mine, when she was still at school used to babysit for the owners of a local kebab shop, they treated her like a member of the family, they really made her feel at home. She managed to learn some Turkish from the children, although when she told me she could say "give us a kiss, it's time for bed" in Turkish, I advised her that it probaably wouldn't be a good idea to use that phrase when on holiday in Turkey ;)

I'm really curious how it is in UK

well last year when I was walking on the pavement a twat driving past mounted the pavement and ran into me, I called him lots of names and swore at him a lot ,and the policeman who drove me home after the accident said I was justified in swearing at him.

I have never known anyone get arrested just for swearing,

it is here, the property line is in the middle

That's not how it works in UK, also depends on when the house was built. I live in an old Victorian house. I own and am responsible for the walls on the same side as my front door, that's how it goes all teh way up the street. It could be that the neighbours were told that the fence was their side and their responsiblity, did she ask them?

the driveway, maybe they only did if for a few mins and she's just being
to over-reacting.. we only are hearing one side!

very true, I thought odd, when she said 'we had to walk around with our shopping' I take it from that they didn't try talking to the neighbours then either

but I would try a little kindness first, see what happens :)

It does appear they ahven't tried communicating directly with their neighbours.

They haven't even had the politeness to reply to the answers people on the forum have given them :(

You've got off to a bad start with your neighbours. I don't think you can put it down to their nationality, people have problems with their neighbours all over the world.

I can't speak for your situation, but is it possible they did not realise the fence was yours, have you asked them?
