there are discotheques, new bars, modern buildings, etc.. its not dreary, but its still mostly old.

Some progress as there were not bars or discotheques before. Modern buildings are mostly disgusting and not fitting in, surrounded by classy or even older style buildings - sort of architectural and aesthetic nightmare!

West-East? Have you been to Japan or China? Are they East or West? Maybe the problem lays with your perception.

There is no one version agreed by all professionals, dominating version - yes, but it doesn't mean that everybody bend in the same way.

Sometimes there is political pressure that decide matters not the truth for example Jedwabne is such a case !
Fine, everybody have the right to his version and his "obsession" but in the said dude case is much more - it is unhealthy obsession. It is his version or none. He goes about that abusing people who disagree with him and that is seriously unbalanced behaviour.

I think a main cause would be the difference in mentality between Poland and Western Europe which is still very big.

Just general timbre of what Harry post here about Jews in Poland during WWII is repulsive ! I'm not going to apologize for Polish criminals and I do not expect Jews to apologize for their criminals.

I would say we are even. There are plenty of Jews who believe Poles are anti Semites and there are plenty of Poles who believe that Jews are anti-Polish.

Some of the feeling is justified on both sides but mostly it is a prejudice fueled by the other side attitude.

What does it prove if it the truth ? Nothing about NZS as whole or their policy, just some people (possibly but not likely ), so what ?

It sound as commie propaganda as any survivors of the Ghetto desperate defense against liquidation of the Ghetto who evaded Germans, would have been taken care of by the Polish underground. The only people who would want to avoid that would be semi-criminal Jewish organizations who pried on people in the Ghetto, and after escape trying to do the some on Polish population.
