Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

so what are you saying ? that this doesn't count?

Sure it counts roz but European's liberal media manipulate the whole picture as America has all
these killins with guns. True BUT 90% of them happen in just three cities and most of those are done
by blacks on white or blacks on blacks. Paint the whole picture so people know it is unfair to say that
all of America is full of gun killers.

If you want to blind us with statistics and facts, do your own research!

You are the one in doubt, not me, so don't delegate your work to me.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Not if you look at comparable countries it doesn't at all, for instance European and developed countires.

Really, then let's go the other way then......how many people got shot say in Montana last year where guns are legal to own compared with how many people got shot in England where guns are illegal to own ?

I think if you did some research you may surprise yourself. (anyone want to google that ?)
Bad people will ALWAYS have access to guns and will kill good and bad people with them.
Good people should be able to defend themselves against these bad people with a gun as you would be a fool to take a knife to a gun fight or wait twenty minutes for the police to show up to protect you.

The police carry guns to protect themselves, not you or me.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

compared with the US where gun crime/shootings happen on nearly a daily basis...

Yes, IN THREE MAJOR CITIES by mostly black people. No racism here as statisics speak for themselves.
Take away those three major cities and shootings are no higher then most other countries.

To suggest that Poles would want guns if only they were educated by Americans is an insult.

Let's turn that around Roger, to suggest what Poles want, since you are a Brit, is an insult.

French cops are armed and always have been.

Well the one on the news that got his brains splattered all over the sidewalk didn't have one did he ?

You would be insulted by anyone that disagree's with you Roger.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Why was the thread, The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? closed ?
After watching an unarmed European police officer get executed in cold blood because he didn't have a gun
to defend himself might change some minds on the issue.
By opening this thread the Polish people may be educated on what the liberal media manipulaton has done to
not only Poland but all of Europe.

Re-opened. But an off-topic discussion may be closed again soon if not related enough to Poland.

Law / USD shooting up so high for PLN [76]

China was not party to the Kyoto reduction agreement.

It shows as their air pollution is off the scale and the ground water is unfit to drink.

No the Euro is f@ucked in 2015

I beg to differ as the UK's economy is on a very very thin string also.
The Euro is at a nine year low while the U.S. dollar is at a nine year high.

the UK has a free floating currency and will be one of Europe's best performers in 2015

Europe's best performer maybe which isn't saying much as bad as Europe is hurting.
Most major currencies are floating currencies. So what is your point ?
A free floating currancy is a currency whose value is determined by the free market.
The value of a floating currency changes constantly depending on the supply and demand for that currency
as well as the amount of the currency held in foreign reserves.
However, floating exchange rates tend to be more volatile depending on the particular currency.
A floating currency may undergo currency appreciation or currency depreciation depending on market fluctuations.
I really don't think there will be any big demand for the GBP in 2015.

I also believe Poland is in deep trouble relying on US FDI increasing from 2016 as EU borders
are drawn in black pen.

Yeah like those black pen borders are just that. If Poland didn't rely on the U.S. Federal Defense Industry then who
would they rely on that would be capable of meeting their needs ? England ? Russia ? the Chi-coms ?
I predict that you will see the Euro drop as low as 106 in 2015 which won't be good for the zloty either.

News / Food producers from Poland should stop suffering from obliged sanctions against Russia [75]

I will agree to that as whenever I bought frozen oysters and tiger shrimps in US or Poland they are from bangladesh

Most shrimp in the U.S. comes from Thailand and the oysters come from Korea.

.I dont know about vegetables and meat though.

Foreign canned meat is much more healthy than American.
Why do you think ten and twelve year old girls are developing so young these days in America ?
Thanks to GROWTH HORMONES (GMO"S) by Monosato Inc.
Cows are fed styro foam pellets injected with growth hormones, fed GMO corn (corn is not a natural food to cattle nor is
styro foam pellets) all to put weight on fast for meat and to make cows give three times as much milk all for more $$$$$ profit.

(Not to mention milk in America is HORRIBLE for you)
Foreign cattle are grass fed naturally (not grain fed) and the meat actually has flavor not to mention what you are
putting in your body.
Vegetables in America are grown with Monosato's chemical fertilizers, Monosato's GMO seeds,
sprayed with Monosato's chemical pestisides (Round Up & ect.). Yummy
Ask again why autism and cancer rates have sky rocketed in the last two generations in America.
Did you know that three or four companies in the U.S. control all the food in the U.S. ?
So before the thread got hijacked...... back AGAIN to my question:
Would the Polish people prefer the GMO's that are used to grow grains and growth hormones injected
in the meats of America or the natural foods from Russia and Asia by joining the Eurasian Economic Union
also increasing Polands food exports to Russia ?

News / Food producers from Poland should stop suffering from obliged sanctions against Russia [75]

Firstly, Russian imports it's food. Especially chicken from America.

Firstly, this simply is not true. You can take your own time and google it.

Secondly, no trade agreement would allow GM food into the EU because it's unacceptable to EU consumers.

Secondly, you may be referring to GMO seeds because GMO's are in almost anything made with grains.

Thirdly, Russia and Asia are not known for their food quality..

Thirdly, no less then America with arsenic found in their orange juice, PBC's in their salmon from the great lakes, always
throwing out tons of tainted meats, growth hormones in their beef and chickens......all so yummy.
I do eat a lot of oysters, pineapple, ect. from asia that tests safe.
So Russia and Asia's food quality is just as safe as America's.

There is no impediment to Russia joining the EU, except that it's corrupt to the core and would need it's laws updating

Really, and just what government in the EU is not corrupt to the core ?
In fact what counntry in the world is not corrupt to the core ?
I think you may being a tad bias here weeg.
(Side Note: One of my favorite imported food is from Poland and that is the Pampa canned herring in mustard.
That with some crackers and a beer is a good lunch.)
So back to my question, would the Polish people prefer the GMO's that are used to grow grains and growth hormones injected
in the meats of America or the natural foods from Russia and Asia by joining the Eurasian Economic Union increasing Polands food trade to boot ?

News / Food producers from Poland should stop suffering from obliged sanctions against Russia [75]

O.k., we have discussed the political end of the food producers in Poland.
Now I would like to entertain the other side, the "best choice" for the Polish people.
Russia has now made a new offer starting the first of this year.
No doubt the EU is both vulnerable and sought after economically and geopolitically.
Russia is making no bones about an open proposal to the EU.
Essentially, dump the U.S. - don't join the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP),
but join the Eurasian Economic Union, which went into effect January 1st.
The Polish people are caught between a rock and a hard spot the way I see it.
Do they want to cave to their neighbor Russia who is offering natural foods grown in Europe/Asia or
the unapproved genetically engineered food that Monsanto is "forcing" North and South America
to grow ?
What a choice to have to make. I know how I would vote on that.
America treats their chickens for example with chlorine to keep them fresh. Yummy !
GMO's are starting to show up in human organs from the ones used in altering rice.
Not to worry as Monsanto says it's not harmful. (sarcasm)
Of course Monsanto who developed "Round Up" weed killer said that was safe also even
though it is linked directly to autism.
What killed all the bees that pollinate in the U.S. ? Monasanto linked it to the cell phones. (more sarcasm)
So if the Polish people either have to cave to East or the West in making a choice, your vote please.

Law / USD shooting up so high for PLN [76]

And what does that have to do with this thread ?
To get back on thread here.................
quote by Pigsy:

I am wondering to cash the $s or wait for it to go up more, not that anyone can predict but anyone have any ideas if it will keep on going up or its at its peak?

The U.S. dollar is now at a nine year high.
Demand for the dollar goes beyond just the weakness of the euro, the softness of the Chinese economy, the weakness of oil prices and their impact on a many currencies, the emerging market funds, all add up to a stronger dollar.

The euro dollar could still continue the downslide especially if the ESB goes ahead with quantative easing. (QE)
This will not only be limited to the euro but also the Zloty.
quote by CMS:

The government normally buys a load of zloty at the end of the year for political reasons - that will strengthen the zloty a little for a few days but in january i expect 3.65

I would have to agree with you that the zloty will be very close to that in January if not more.
The global economy is on a very thin string right now.

You should look into that, i think you would be surprised at your findings.

No you look into it and then tell me what the national debt was before Obama came into office.

Would you lend money to a guy that has money troubles?

China has no problem doing it.

Eh, since when does pollution affect profit?..

Eh when one (the U.S) has to spend billions to have proper pollution control and the other guy (China) spend zero
and pollutes the enviroment to the point 80% of their water is unfit for animals.

China will never do that, they can't do that, why outsource at expense

I will let you goggle it yourself to so to not redden your face.

The US economy is FCUKED absolutely FCUKED

If that is true then the U.K.'s must REALLY BE FUKCED !

Law / USD shooting up so high for PLN [76]

are you aware of the US national debt, its massive dude, by far the largest on the world.

Thank our Community Disorganizer for that. I don't think that has much to do with the value of the U.S.D. however.
I think the strangle hold that OPEC had has finally been broken.
I would have to say that the E.U. will not feel any relief with the U.S.D. exchange rate in the first quarter at all.

China's steel production has slowed way down because they have polluted the enviroment with deadly toxins.
This will help level the playing field with all the enviromental laws that America's are required to follow that
China has ignored. In doing so it made it tuff to compete.
Now that China is moving their steel production to South Africa so they can clean up the disaster they caused
in their country the U.S.D. will become even stronger.

quote by Wroclaw Boy: the Dollar is being artificially inflated at the moment

I disagree strongly with that statement.
Our economy is finally starting to show solid growth where the E.U. is not.
In such case the exchange rate of the U.S.D. will only widen the gap.
Can you imagine what would happen if/when the petro dollar collapses !

Law / USD shooting up so high for PLN [76]

quote by W.B. It doesn't have much to do with Gold prices but as for weakening other currencies this is short term, the Dollar is being artificially inflated at the moment as a result of oil being at a four year low.

I totally disagree with your rational here Wroclaw Boy.
Oil's crash is being misinterpreted by many investors such as yourself.
Let me para phrase and condense an article that explains it best.
The MAIN STORY is the $9 TRILLION US Dollar carry trade.
Drilling for Oil, producing Oil, transporting Oil are extremely expensive processes.
This means unless you have hundreds of billions of Dollars in cash lying around you're going to have to borrow money.
Borrowing US Dollars is the equivalent of shorting the US DOLLAR.
If the US Dollar rallies, then your debt becomes more and more expensive to finance on a relative basis.
In this scheme, a US Dollar rally is Oil negative.
Oil's collapse is predicated by one major event: the explosion of the US Dollar carry trade.
Worldwide, there is over $9 TRILLION in borrowed US Dollars that has been ploughed into risk assets.
Economies that are closely aligned with commodities (all of which are priced in US Dollars) are getting demolished too.
Just about everything will be hit as well.

quote by W.B. i would personally change your money today at 3.48, don't think its likely to go much higher and i would be surprised if it stays at this rate for very long.

What is "very long" ? I can see things getting a lot worse for the E.U. as the U.S.D. continues to strengthen.

Most of the "recovery" of the last five years has been fueled by cheap borrowed Dollars.
Now that the US Dollar has broken out of a multi-year range, you're going to see more and more "risk assets" blow up.

Oil is just the beginning, not a standalone story.
If things really pick up steam, there's over $9 TRILLION worth of potential explosions waiting in the wings.
Imagine if the entire economies of both Germany and Japan exploded and you've got a decent idea of the size of the potential impact on the financial system.

Life / Cannabis / Weed in Poland... How much does marijuana cost per gram and how easy is to get it? [355]

Do I promote weed ? No
However it seems if Poland would legalize it that it would bring billions of $$$$$ to the economy.
The stoners are going to smoke this crap regardless so why not tax it and build schools and colleges
with the tax money.
WoW, the only country in europe that it is legal would draw tourists up the the yang yang to get a puff
to get stupid.
Look at what it has done for Colorado in the U.S.A.
Like they say in Jamaica, "the government can take away everything from us except our weed and our music."
ie: in Jamica you can possess 2 ounces on person and smoke on all private property.
Ganja cost about $20 an ounce there for the high grade.
" A proclamation was issued today, up to 99 years in jail for illegal possession and sale,
how can they think they are right when they are wrong, I guess they have never been stoned.
Breath deeply.............it's so nice to be stoned............".

The stronger the $ the lower gold goes and weakens other currancy around the world.

I noticed that,I wonder whats the math behind that?

That's hard to answer in a few words, but it's basically because gold and oil are always quoted in dollar prices.
Even if the price doesn't change in dollar terms, it will have become more expensive in euros or pesos,
if the dollar has been strengthening in relation to those other currencies.
So with much of the rest of the world seeing more expensive gold, especially India and Asia, demand falls off and the price goes down in all currencies.

If my investment charts hold true I should do very very well in the first quarter.

The stronger the $ the lower gold goes and weakens other currancy around the world.
and if you think $1 to 3.49 is bad try Jamaica where it is $1 to 120.
I blame it on global warming as the world doesn't need so much heating oil anymore so
the price of oil is dropping. Supply and demmand theory.

so the US is also loosing

OPEC is taking a much harder hit as the U.S. dollar is stronger than ever.
The U.S. is producing an all time high production of oil.
Soon OPEC will be a "has been" to America.
The airlines are recovering some of the losses that they incurred over the last few years.
Americans are paying around $2.65 per gallon for gas right now which is boosting the economy.
Can't wait to connect with the Keystone pipeline out of Canada which will make gas even cheaper.
It will be America's turn to sell fresh water to OPEC for a $100 a barrel. Hide and watch.

i actually have impression that most of the Poles don`t like NATO.

Hell most Americans don't like NATO. (One World Order)
Every paycheck the American workers get have big taxes taken out of it to support NATO, to pay for weapons to
protect countries like Poland, to pay for AMERICAN soldiers to be in Poland to protect it, to pay to operate the
military bases in Poland and lastly have OUR young boys blood ready to spill on Polands ground
(like it has in the past) to protect Poland.
Now I would have to say that ALL America is suffering from the sanctions just like everyone else is if not more.
It comes right out of ALL working Americans back pocket to protect Poland.
So please quit whinning about the freedoms America has given (paid for) to Poland.
Can you tell me the cost of all the tanks America just sent to Poland's front ?
Who the F**** paid for those ? America did, that's WHO !
Maybe you would rather go back to living in fear when walking down your streets.

USA, Canada / 15 hr. motion on a minimum wage. (USA) [24]

. Or at least do a trade, easily over 15$ an hour and much better then fast food/retail etc.

Absolutely !
Long haul truck drivers, for example, can easily make $2000 USD per week here in the U.S.A.
Problem is companies can not find dependable people that speak and read English to do the job and they other half can't pass the drug testing.

Up in the booming Dakota's they can't find workers period because it is "to cold" of a climate even though they pay twice minimum wage for unskilled labor.

And that is the problem, Americans have never felt the pain of war, have never gone without, have never suffred to appreciate what they have. They are SPOILED.

Poeple in Poland know what war is all about, going to the store and not having a choice of what brand to choose from, what

suffering is, what authority is, what going without is.
These people that are demanding $15 an hour do not have the skills or capabilities to put $15 an hours worth of work out.
Cut the damn welfare programs out for ALL capable workers and they would be happy for "those $8-$10 per hour jobs" that Americans won't do.

Promlem is welfare pays $20 plus an hour to watch t.v. all day, get stoned and play video games - so there is the problem.

Only in America could the rich people who pay 85% of all income tax be accused of "not paying their fare share" by people who don't pay any income tax at all.

Starting to see the big picture here ?
johnny reb

USA, Canada / 15 hr. motion on a minimum wage. (USA) [24]

Hell no !
When welfare pays more then most jobs that these dead beats are capable of doing what do you expect.
Poverty pays good these days.
Our boys in the military putting their lives on the line don't make $15 an hour nor get foodstamps to buy lobster and top shelf steaks so why should some stoner that can't skip and chew gum at the same time get paid that.

Flipping burgers is a kids job to put gas in their car and buy a bag of weed not support a family with.
So when you sit home on your dead ass sucking off welfare and demand to have high speed internet ($3 a day)
cable t.v. ($3 a day) have a smart phone ($3 a day) smoke a pack and a half of cigarettes a day ($10 a day) drink a six pack of beer ($5 a day) and buy an eighth of weed ($25 a day) what the hey. Living large.

If you do the math that all adds up to over $1400 a month on sh*t that you need none of to survive.
That's $17000 plus a year for luxuries. Pleanty to pay the NECESSITY bills.
When your maximum capabilities are $7.50 an hour to flip burgers or mow lawns then I can understand why you think
you need twice that much to support your bad habits and certainly to be able to start popping out kids.
So the system offers you $15 an hour welfare plus free medical to be able to afford your life style what you gonna do ?
Sit home on your dead ass the rest of your life and let your working neighbor support you or go get an education and
make an effort to quit those bad habits and get a $15 an hour job that you actually put out $15 an hour worth of work.
You could pay $25 an hour for those kid jobs and people would still want more even though they only put out $7.50 worth of work.
Wake up Smuck, you ain't worth it.
No, give the military personel who risk their lives a huge raise way before of thinking of giving some high school kid job one.
They sacrifice their families, their lives, are away from home all while putting their future on hold.
We all can't be doctors and should get paid according to our capabilities and if that is $7.50 an hour and it isn't enough to

pay the bills get a second job so you can. Those are the work ethics that built this great nation.

Most of the uneducated unsuccessful people who can least afford to smoke still do.

Life / When will SMOKING BE BANNED? (from public areas in Poland) [44]

Smoking is already banned in Public places in Jamaica and most of the U.S.A.
The big arguement was that it would cut down on revenue from the Pub's.
Just the opposite happened. Once the ban went into effect patronage INCREASED because people that didn't smoke
no longer had to be FORCED to breath second hand smoke which is just as deadly.
We can now dress to impress when we go out for a drink without having filthy residue ruining our good cloths. It stinks !
I told the smokers who argued with me about this that I have a bad habit of drinking beer that causes a filthy residue called pee.

Let me INSIST to pee all over your hair and cloths and see how you like it.
It is even against the law to smoke in a private car that is occupied by children in the U.S.
My guess is that the Polish Government will ban it soon and start collecting hefty fines for those who refuse to abide.
I wish you the best in your very constructive crusade Maluch.

Food / Where can I find good coffee and Cuban cigars in Stalowa Wola area? [10]

I may have to concede on this one. I honestly can't remember. You got me.
After giving this some serious thought I have narrowed it down to more like 30 years ago this happened.
Man it sure seems they did put the fine on my credit card though.
I am willing to stand corrected however.
I don't carry my checkbook with me when I travel though.
Hell I can't remember but it seems it cost me $500, they kept the cigars and I missed my connecting flight.
My point was, no way did they let me slide when I tried it years ago.
You must have short hair and wear a tie to get away with it.
Thanks for pointing out such a detail however Justin. ;-)
How do you like the new retina scans they do now.
You just look up at their camera, click and walla, your picture pops up on their screen with all your personal information.

I travel internationally almost every month being living in states and never had problems taking a pack or 2 even when customs checked it

That doesn't surprise me as the U.S. has become very lacks on even travel to Cuba by Americans today.

They were nice to me once too for bringing in five Cuban Cohevas. (15 years ago)

Well I put it on my credit card back then. Just to update you.

Maybe you looked like a smuggler

What does a smuggler look like ?
I now just take the bands off them and replace them with Jamaican cigar bands.

Food / Where can I find good coffee and Cuban cigars in Stalowa Wola area? [10]

Cuban cigars

If they are flying back to the States is this not a pretty risky item to be bringing in the luggage?

From first hand experience as I have a home in Jamaica as well as in the U.S.
In Jamaica I can buy the best fresh Cuban cigars legally. $8 for a Coheba that lasts a half a day.
As 'Dont gag me yo' posted in another thread that U.S. Customs were nice and let his Cuban cigars slide.
They were nice to me once too for bringing in five Cuban Cohevas. (15 years ago)
They let me put the $500 USD fine on my credit card. First offense.
Second offense is being banned from travel to Jamaica for life.
So I think 'Dont gag me' is full of little green apples.
As for Jamaicans Blue Mountain coffee you can buy fresh beans off the farms for about $40 per kilo and
allowed to bring $600 worth back duty free legally. Most likely the same from Poland.
It sells for $80 per kilo in the U.S.
I have met some really cool Polish people in Jamaica.
They shocked me as they spoke perfect English.
