Well, most Poles didn't have much problem with Warsaw Pact.

But the point is that it wouldn't have to necessarily be under Russian domination. Especially that it wouldn't be a military alliance but more of an international cultural/historical cooperation organisation (maybe to some extent political too, like V4).

How many people did Russians kill "in Union with the Nazis" (why the capital letter in Union)? Give me a rough number, and then compare it to the number of Russians slaughtered by the nazis.

It's like saying that Poland lost 6 million citizens in WW2 but first acted "in Union with the Nazis" by invading Czechoslovakia. It may be accurate to some extent but also misleading and distorting the general picture of events.

On 1st September 2009 in Westerplatte there were both Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel present...

... and it was generally acknowledged, even by Russians, that Ribbentrop-Molotov pact was a mistake and that Poland was a victim. These days it is no longer widely accepted narrative in Russia, and Poland is depicted as a country that contributed to the outbreak of WW2 and our cooperation with Nazi Germany in the partition of Czechoslovakia is stressed.

If you look at foreign and historical policies back then, and compare it to the hate-fest towards both Germany and Russia that PiS is having today, then you can only marvel at the idiocy and deplore how much was destroyed in such a short time.

Not to mention that leading both anti-German and anti-Russian politics at the same time never ended well for Poland.

If it is true that every forum has more readers than users, then the existence of this board is actually good news for Russia.

Think about it: any chance person who comes across this board and is even remotely sane is bound to be repulsed by the sheer amount of nonsense spouted here, ranging from hateful racist outbursts to amateur psychological/sociological analyses. In such case two things can happen: such person can close their browser tab in disgust and never return or develop some sort of Russophilia as a healthy psychological reaction.

It's one thing to oppose the actions of Putin's government and think that this war is a horrible mistake that will bring misery to both Ukrainians and Russians, and another to change a previously regular, thematic forum into a hate-fest including the spelling "game" of regularly putting capitalised SS in the name of country that lost millions of its citizens in their struggle against the nazis.

Some of it could partially be justified at the very beginning of the war with shock and fear, natural in such situations, but today it is just a vicious hate campaign, visible also in some media and wide political circles. Madness.

That's OK in English I suppose, but in Polish "pełnoskalowa inwazja" sounds very clumsy. It is, however, constantly used in the media and by politicians (e.g. Duda keeps banging on about this "pełnoskalowa inwazja" all the time). It's almost as if they received instructions on what to say and what expressions to use - instructions written in English and hastily translated into Polish. This idiotic newspeak word doesn't even exist in the Great Dictionary of the Polish Language...

I find Polish formal language to be very charming and once, when I helped organise an international conference at my university, I was asked to take care of some correspondence with our honourable guests. So, in those emails I tried to emulate Polish formal old-fashioned style in English. 1. The West decides, for a number of reasons, to end the war. For this they will need some sort of compensation to Ukraine who - I am certain of it - will lose some of their lands to Russia.

2. They will push the idea of glorious Polish-Ukrainian union. They can try to sell it as a new Rzeczpospolita or something and our silly politicians will fall for it.

3. Within the Union certain administrative border shifts will occur.

4. The union will eventually break up and the administrative borders will become state borders, at Poland's expense.
