Well, you never had to even consider having to do that so not a surprise.
That is a different case I would admit. But I still think that 32 weeks gives plenty of time. It's just 5 weeks for term time delivery. Tbh I wouldn't give that much time for non medical terminations anyway.

I must have my eyesight checked then as most supermarkets have shelves full of them and I see beans on toast, baked potatoes with baked beans and so on and so on.

Such a shame you man are such big babies incapable of taking care of themselves...
However I must say I'm grateful I was raised in Poland where women working was common and female doctors, factory workers on managers were everywhere.
our women still take care of themselves, us, and the kids much better than your Western women.

The main doctor was not great e.g. denied me my usual comforter ( a bottle with tea) saying I was too big for that (true but I think sudden separation from your family, illness and hospital ordeal are not the best moments to change that) and some other things but I managed to get it off the nurses.
I remember two things:
- being on a cold high table and having my arm put in a metal frame (for IV).
- a member of staff doing inhalations to kids and me looking from around the corner with other kids, the nurse calling my name and come on, you are next and me running away laughing.

I was in hospital in the early 90 as a kid. The staff was great (with the exception of the lead doctor) and the only concern was the visiting times ( very, VERY strict in those times)
The parent staying with a child I believe is a common practice for quite a while now ..

In the USA you are not responsible for the debts of your deceased parents.
