JR it takes about 20 seconds of using Google to find that a heavy majority of polish voters are opposed to easier access to firearms.

There is some slight movement however - in one poll, 20% of men think there should be easier access. Those are probably the kind of saps who are voting for Braun and Mentzen. Women remain 97% opposed.

I don't know where I read it but I think renewables are getting close to 50 percent of Polish power market.

Don't know if that is in zloty or in watts.

Anyway I was surprised - certainly don't see why it is something America needs to compete with

On the voluntary contributions I did it arse about face - sent a few class 3 contributions and then thought I could sort the paperwork out later (that's generally how I manage my affairs !). my own situation quite complicated as some years working in the US and in Germany.

Lenka not sure of your point - it's a contributory system and not always fair, but as in Poland a major problem with the British public finances is that there are many millions of people who do not contribute or pay tax at all.

No idea really about the GBP and PLN but might be down because of worries about deficit in UK. But zloty also strong v dollar and Euro the last few weeks.

Last summer a guy was knocking seven bells out of his wife outside my gate, I heard their kid yelling and went out to split them up. The guy was much smaller than me so able to restrain him but it took 25 mins for the police to come, by which time they had all agreed to leave.
