Life / Neoliberalism and family formation in Poland [100]

like I said women try to act out

Or maybe they simply are like that?
Did it cross your mind that women are actually quite capable of being strong and independent?
That maybe, just maybe, we don't want to act (yes, act) like silly little helpless goose in order for man to feel like they are some macho act?

Men care about womens goals when they align with what men also want

Buahaha, we care what you want...as long as it's what we want. LOL

What I dont support is the narrative that traditional lives and values are bad.

They are not if the people involved like it that way. The thing is more and more women don't.

I really did not enjoy spending alone time with them, for extended periods of time. Like a vacation for example

Yyy, that is weird. I guess I kind of understand but the thing is all good relationships I met were pretty good at simply having good time together.

Btw, you may want to give the marriage and kids a skip :)

Absolutely not.

Kaczyński?

I know what you mean but I do believe it's more an American pressure with that model family with 2-4 kids in a photo op. Similar as they have to be religious.

. If their goals dont align

And the same goes the other way. Women won't force themselves into relationships with man that have different goals. Simple enough.

Women, they are generally more concerned with survival without a husband, or after a husband than actually having a family

Being able to survive after husband disappears is caring for your family. Who will support the kids if the women won't think about that?

men tend to treat relationships like money (ultimate goal, valuable in an of itself) and women tend to treat relationships like jobs (a means to an end).

Yeah, that's why for ages women marriage opportunities were so closely related to their dowry

Which is why it really doesn't matter what Paulina's or Lenka's mom or grandma did.

I included younger generations as well

You can't really grow beyond a certain point in politics or business if you are not married or have kids

I would say that's very American thing.

You think men should GAF about your career goals and your wants, when all men want is peace for their family and security.

Since they want to have those relationships with women, yes, I would say it should matter what the women want. They may say it's not worth it in the end but that's a different matter.

Working getting in the way of starting a family

It still doesn't, not really. If someone wants a family, they have it. More people simply find they prefer different life. Hard not to see that the childless people have more time and money. Having kids take sacrifice.

I think people are more conscious of the responsibility family takes.

Btw- housing situation is definitely a big thing. However again that is also due to increased expectations. People lived like sardines in the 80s and still had kids

My grandma worked- two kids.
My mom worked- four kids.
Actually all the women in my family worked and 99% have kids. Two don't, one from choice, the other due to the mixture of health and relationship issues.

Language / Foreigners speaking Polish - examples. [71]

I'm talking here though solely about pronunciation as dead give away that the
interlocutor's a foreigner.

Same here. Foreigners usually make a sound somewhere in between those two for both.

Food / What Polish foods and brands do you miss when you go to other countries? [216]

I just made myself an old style 'Polish' pizza ( I meant around 2000- 2015) with mushroom, ham, onion, red pepper, corn and egg. It was absolutely delicious 😋

Can't count on Poland with that anymore as pizza moved to fancier stuff like pear and sunflower seeds

There is no woman on this earth who dislikes a longer or second look from a guy.

You are delusional

Besides she said they weren't together anymore. Things may be complicated.

Not to mention that being a sociopath is not a crime. It scares the rest of us but noone can help the way they feel (or don't)

they naturally have to increase demand. I.e releasing rapists from prison.

That is covered by the current law

I don't judge people's grief. We all deal differently. Some people need occupation to stay sane. E.G. my mom is like that. I can be like that too.

Life / Why women's rights are not respected here in Poland? [160]

said "I would" because YOU addressed ME directly with this:

I didn't mean you personally. For one you are not a doctor to carry out the procedure.

Inside a pregnant woman is a live human being.

Depends what you count as living. We declare people brain dead on regular basis.

Abortion is inevitable on human society. The question remains what will be allowed by society. I think less restrictive law would find support in Poland.

would wait until it comes out naturally...

Well, you never had to even consider having to do that so not a surprise.

Even in cases where the foetus is unviable

That is a different case I would admit. But I still think that 32 weeks gives plenty of time. It's just 5 weeks for term time delivery. Tbh I wouldn't give that much time for non medical terminations anyway.
