most Poles don`t care about LGBT

That is true.
But it does not mean that most Poles would find LGBT freedoms being relaxed acceptable.
Most Poles are just not interested because it is not important.Full stop.
But if you try to make LGBT lifestyles acceptable or introduced into mainstream education, you will have a problem...

Life / Overhead lines in rural and suburban Poland? [17]

@Joker

Back when I was a kid, my dad and uncle rewired our whole house and fitted central heating.
They knew what they were doing and did a good job.
But if you tried that today it would be illegal.
You need qualified sparks, qualified gas engineers and qualified boiler engineers..... all costing serious dosh.

History / What should Russia and Poland do to become if not friends, then at least not enemies? [945]

in the era of Russia`s supersonic nuclear-propelled nuclear missiles?

Oh, the west is really scared of those useless Russian misiles...... trembling in our boots...
Russia will never dare, because British, French and American missiles will kill Russia off for good.
You Serbs really need to stand up as men and stop licking Russian ar$es....pathetic really....

And you guys still don't think some kind of gun control or stricter licencing rules would help?
We don't have these horrific stats in Europe....... I am just sayin'....

Genealogy / The typical Polish look, or all Eastern Europeans [676]

Czech and Slovacs are as similar to Poles as one can get

Yeah, especially Slowaks.I can even understand some of their language, I find Czech more difficult.
But Slowaks can adjust to Polish really quickly.

News / Britain - problem for Poland and Poles? [117]

I was able to master the language to an unrecignizable level

NONE of the so called attacks against Poles in UK. are randam

Your two comments above show that you have not mastered English to a decent level and suggest that either you have not been in the UK for very long or have never been there.

and organized by UK's funny handshake lords

And your above post shows not only that you have absolutely no understanding of British society but that you are probably a troll.

The attacks on Poles by Brits are as infrequent as attacks by Poles on Brits in Poland, given the difference in population and numbers of immigrants.

As the son of two Poles, born in England I can honestly say that I have NEVER experienced ANY racism, hostility and certainly no violence against me.

With a name like Sylvio are you even Polish?

You are a liar and a troll

That is why I am satisfied with how Serbia responded to the challenge

Yes, but you really need to understand that in the great scheme of things Serbia really does not matter....totally insignificant....
You really need to wake up to global reality instead of dreaming of your "Greater Serbia".....it ain't never gonna happen...

Study / School meals in Poland [145]

@johnny reb
@jon357
I totally get where both of you are coming from.
Jim is right, parents need to be more responsible.
Jon is right, if parents are not responsible then what is the point in prosecuting everyone?
Because then everyone, including the kids, suffer.
The answer lies in catching this stuff early, education and the threat of penalties on parents if they don't respect their responsibilities.
I agree with Jim, if adults are not capable or interested in raising their kids properly, then they should not have them.

If a kid doesn't like the food, they won't eat it

Exactly.

They're much more likely to eat it if they're not preached at

Also true.

Why is healthy food unappealing?

Because it often is.... as Maf said, Chicken breast may be healthy, but it is boring, tasteless and dull, unless
you add plenty of herbs and spices, but even then, other cuts with those same herbs and spices taste better.

chicken breast is the most boring meat in the world so you need to spice that mother up

Couldn't agree more.

A nice dish of pasta with salt-free tomato sauce

Sorry, but that is not appealing to me at all....

Great way to introduce kids to spices :)) which, coincidentally are very beneficial to health

Agreed 100% but that may be difficult in Poland.

Add some grated carrot and it counteracts the acidity.

This is true and something we do all tbe time.

You scare easy, kids need fat

The best comment in this thread Maf!

Not completely moronic

Yes, completely moronic because tbe kids will not eat it.

Sometimes that will be fish

Atch said Veggie.... so no fish allowed...
In the UK you may be able to get away with a veggie day by making it a spicey indian dish, but that won't work in Poland..

And anyway, spicey deep fried Indian food may be very nice but it is less healthy than a "Full English".

Study / School meals in Poland [145]

However, for some students that school dinner might be the only decent meal they get. More t

And this is the crux of the problem.
And as Kaprys and others have said, the "western" idea of "snacking" is a huge problem too.
It is better for the kids to have filling and fullfilling meals.
Atch's moronic idea of a "Vegetarian Day", would result in kids not eating that mush.... so they would either starve or eat junk....

If it was a sponge pudding it would be strangely unsweet with a barely visible smear of jam

LOL!!
You must be about my age Jon....

I got big portions though (not always desirable) being the son of one of the dinnerladies....

Lucky you :-)

I can't remember if "Smash" was even around back then, but the spuds were grey, watery and inedible...

I was once served mushed potatoes

We used to get those same potatoes in English school dinners and they were all watery and inedible....

That menu looks pretty good to me.
Certainly better than the stuff we were fed when I was at school!

History / Where did Poles spend summer vacations in the PRL era? [63]

Most people took their holidays in Poland

Most Poles have in the past and still do, take most of their holidays in Poland.
Either by the sea, by lakes, by rivers, by forests or in the mountains.
In recent years some, mainly young Poles have gone abroad.

UK, Ireland / Why are Polish people, especially women, so disrespectful toward the English? [442]

Back to the topic

Interesting post.
As a British born person with Polish parents I do see where you are coming from.
But I do think that you denigrate Poles somewhat.
I know many intelligent Poles with a sense of humour that are capable of charming the ar$e off many English women....
