Kompot!!!!

When in NYC in 1990 during the economic recession, I looked for a job as a waiter in various eateries. I also visited a Polish restaurant in Manhattan. They didn`t employ me but gave me their menu brochure as consolation. I read it all and found KOMPOT which amased me completely.
This year we have coped with the abundance of fruit including mini plums so I decided to make kompot. Very easy - just boil the fruit in sugared water. You can also add some spices like clove. Delicious!

I made a few gallons of it and put in the freezer.

Which is 1992. But my PC was 286 and after two years I realised it was too weak to play some new exciting games on it. I regretted not buying a 386 but I can`t blame myself for my proverbial meanness aka frugality.
