The areas of silesia use to be german before ww2 and a bit afterward. Now its changed tho of course as the Germans moved west and poles took over those lands. There are still some poles tho that don't regard silesians as poles tho

What Silesia are you talking about? Lower Silesia, Upper Silesia. Opole/ Opplen? Those are Different places and different stories.

These facts are widely known. However, you have declined to comment on my question:

Where is it [the pagan cemetery] precisely? What's the name of the closest village or place?

There are still some poles tho that don't regard silesians as poles tho

There are also some Silesians who don't regard themselves as Poles.

Its not like some huge cemetery its maybe 15 square feet in total. Basically there's a short old wooden decrepit bridge you cross over and there's a raised mound which supposedly has a mass of bodies in it surrounded by a small moat. At the top of the mound are a few stones w weird writing but one does have a Celtic style cross that is taller than any headstone. My cousin stated teenagers come there to drink and smoke pot and occasionally some strange people chant. He found it while jogging or hiking he's one of those super health conscious vegetarian types. I took him out to eat and a lady gave him chicken rosol despite ordering a vegetarian one poor guy nearly threw up and was wiping his tongue w napkins. I told him too bad it didn't happen in America bc we could've rounded up a bunch of vegans, protested and sued the place so he wouldn't have to worry about how he's going to pay tuition for his bachelors. Nonetheless in poland no one would care lol.

Also I do know some pagan tribes in eastern Europe buried their dead facing east not all were cremated.

All in all, bottom line is that Slavs are stronger, nicer and all that, so Silesians are Slavs, not Germanic. What is very very good because it correspond with fact of their Slavic (ie Sarmatian) origin.

Crow its not so cut and dry. People and cultures have been intermingling since pre history. You can't really say one nationality is nicer than another. Physically stronger or faster perhaps. For example Europeans tend to be better at sports involving weight lifting while Africans tend to be better at sports involving sprinting. But again that doesn't mean though that every African is faster than every European or every European stronger than every african

Quite so, DirkDiggler! When does a group become necessarily "Slavic" vs. "Germanic" vs. "Latin" etc.? The amount of admixture is so relative.
When for example does a dialect become its own independent language?? As soon as the dialect acquires an army and a navy:-)

You people are naive. Serbians are tallest and most robust Europeans. How anybody sane can deny their beauty to them?

Idk about men but I believe dutch women are the tallest or at least most long legged

I do agree though I find eastern European women esp polish and Czech most attractive in general and will most likely marry within my own culture and nationality but that doesn't mean I don't find Brazilian Columbian Swedish Aussie etc girls fine as hell. I even find certain afro carribean girls attractive.

Seconded perhaps only by the Swedes:-)

Good, good. They shall found way to come to us. Or to say, knowing how are dutch Sarmats, too, they shall return to us. One morning we would all awake living in same country. Christ and Svetovid would arrange to it, I am sure.

Idk if I would exactly consider 'robust' to be an attractive quality in a female. But hey different strokes for different folks...

Were rly getting off topic now lol

Indeed we are, sir, and more than a trifle:-)

Suffice to say then, that Silesians are either "Slavicized" Germans or "Germanized" Poles. One or the other!

just remember

robust hips = more likely to deliver babies safely

fashion model hips = more likely to accompany lots 'o death in childbirth (moms and/or babies)

"Svetoid"?? The male form of "Sveta"??
LOL

@Lyzko

If we had a decent sample of silesian DNA we could answer this question

I didn't consider that maf. Usually when I hear the word robust I think of fat. Kind of like when I was a chubby lil kid they made my jean sizes in "husky' lol

Grandfather Svetovid watch over the Silesians, that they found peace in the Slavic hearts.

And Grandmother Baba Jaga also love Silesians. She would spit her old saliva between the eyes of mute invaders.

"She would spit dead in the eye of the German invaders."
:-))

Sure she would have.

But what does it matter. As people say, ``Spit w***e between the eyes and she would think that its rain starting``.

Translation:

A. [To an outsized tall person] How's the weather up there?

B. [Spitting on person A] It's raining!!

back on topic please

I'm Scottish and have a small genetic ancestry from Silesia I'm told. Are there any family names of Silesian origin later found in the United Kingdom?
