And like the sun rising most days, like the moth flies into the flame, this thread had to have been.

alexw68, you have restored balance of PF, with out which we would all spiral out of control and discuss something different, good man:)

I thought I was banned or something.

LOL

I just keep reporting people when I want to quote youz, you've been warned :p

If the Report, Ignore and send PM buttons would be on the left, I would see the purpose of the change in less scrolling. But I guess the designer of this forum wants to remind us for now to use Report and Ignore buttons.

Where's the self destruct button?

OK, now the orphaned send pm button has gone over to join them in the grey zone out of eyeshot on the LHS of the page.

Still sucks on the desktop. For the same reasons I gave at the top of the thread.

It would work if that button group was over on the right side - and would probably still play well with iPad users, etc, too. Come on, chaps, this should have been a quick and easy win.

A few days away from PF and I found changes again. It's OK, not a big deal, but I'd rather see Avatars insead.

I wonder what I find next time I log in...the self destruct button sounds good.

Hey, we're not exactly talking about Apple's best and most brilliant... ;)

We're not talking about Laffitte Mouton Rothschild 1995 either. This is basic 4-litres-of-plonk-in-a-cardboard-box level stuff - entry-level.

Anyway - Ash, how ya keepin'?

Anyway - Ash, how ya keepin'?

Very well thanks Mr w6 and 8. How's the subject of life treating you?

I'm on the eve of something extraordinary and deliriously dull... I've moved towns and acquired new neighbours!

I could have really done with some help from you blokes too you know. :S

But no, what do you guys do? Fiddle with the switches on the already user friendly web page...

Typical! ;D

When all I *really* want is Gothic lettering...
PLEASE!!

what html code do you use to make that trick?
Harry

Makes sense on iPad, etc, to limit need for vertical scrolling.

This layout certainly works well on an iPhone.

what html code do you use to make that trick?

That trick is beyond HTML or CSS code. Special characters is the thing.

it does seem that moving the mouse in at speed can lead to a profile hit. one seems to be limited to about 45 degrees either side of the vertical... from the top or bottom

Christ on a bike Admin, can't you take up a nice hobby or something to keep you occupied?

I second that.

And now, in never ending story of moving buttons, the fist and report buttons are on the right. Stay tuned.

Three types of nav in two different places. The mind would boggle if it hadn't given up on expecting to see logical UI design here.

Admin can you please choose from ONE of the following:

- original buttons provided by the bulletin board s/ware (as in send PM)
- text buttons/hyperlinks with rounded corners if your browser can handle it
- mystery meat nav (the new, utterly confusing icon buttons)

And please group user-related buttons separately from post-related buttons. Right now it's a mess.

I'm convinced that it's the work of alcohol.

Can't be the work of a sober person, that's for sure.
