POLAND TO SIGN US MISSILE SHIELD DEAL TONIGHT

I made this point in my lesson this morning, we cannot be governed by old wounds. What should we be advocating, that Merkel embrace Tusk like Kohl did Mitterand? Hardly.

What I object to here is Russia bullying Poland. Can I remind them that the US is pulling the strings here. Russia picking the easy target again. We all know what happened when they went for the bigger fish that is Afghanistan. Bit off a bit more than it could chew.

Also, Poland has agreed to allow inspections, a process that seems to hold little weight in the international community. Scott Ritter spent 7 years in Iraq and when I mention his name, people look at me and ask me who he is. All they know is Hans Blix, who was in for a short time. Inspections, if thorough, should give Russia the assurances that they need.

It really looks like this is just one more pawn in the political game. The practicalities are being ignored. America is no4 in the world but Russia is no1 at chess. Oh, I should finish by saying that Ukraine is no2.

Crimeria is Russian Lviv is Polish

You made a small mistake. Of course, Crimea is Russian, but L'vov is not Polish at all. Very well, only graves are polish in this city, no more than.

Lvov was Polish all those years ago. But then again, Wrocław was Breslau.

Yes it was Polish by the right of conquest, but originally it was Russian city and it was only captured by Poland during our turmoils with Tatar invasions

Hehe, you forgot to add when it was - in 1349. And not Russian but Ruthenian.
BTW, Wroclaw was known already in 1000 and it was Polish city... so Seanus is pretty right there.

I meant Russians are identical to old inhabitants of Rus'. What is "Ruthenians"? I repeat once again the word "Ruthenia" is Latin appelation for "Russian". There is no individual nation detached from Russia we could name as "Ruthenians".

Costia, Ryszard meant русины (Rusini) by Ruthenians. It's a bit different nation. Genetically they're Western Russians.

Sorry Kostik but Russians are close to the old and todays people of Mongolia.
Why are you trying to deny the facts ?
What's wrong about your Mongol heritage ?

Ryszard meant русины (Rusini) by Ruthenians. It's a bit different nation. Genetically they're Western Russians.

They are Ukrainians and have nothing in common with Russians (Muscovites).

Hmmm....Putin or Medwedjew don't look mongolian to me...are you sure???

They are Ukrainians.

Boria, I'm afraid they're not. They even have their own language and feel oppressed by current Ukranian government. Type in "zakarpatskije rusini" and you may see lots of stuff on that topic. Well... you know Russian, here you are: ua-reporter.com/novosti/29830

Btw they live not only in Ukraine, there're also Serbian Ruthenians.

Russians are close to the old and todays people of Mongolia.

A bit earlier you told him we were Finns... Or it's a slip of my mind? :)

.Putin or Medwedjew don't look mongolian to me

Russian Tartars in general look like Northen Europeans (blue eyed) but they are of Mongolian origin - but hell ... nothing wrong about that.

feel oppressed by current Ukranian governmen

Dreaming of liberation by Muscovites lol ?

A bit earlier you told him we were Finns

I've already explained it before - some regions are more Ugrofinic some Mongolian.

Dreaming of liberation by Muscovites lol ?

I don't think so. It seems like they're ok to be part of Ukraine.

Russian Tartars in general look like Northen Europeans (blue eyed)

Extremely seldom. I can't say I know any blue-eyed. Usually they have dark eyes.

Well, seriousness aside, we can have a laugh that CONDO(m) LEEZA Rice is in Poland now.

I wonder if Tusk likes this ;)

Costia, Ryszard meant русины (Rusini) by Ruthenians. It's a bit different nation. Genetically they're Western Russians.

I understood exactly what he had meant. He had meant that there is some people who think that they are some different nation appart from Ukrainians, Russians or Belorussians and they call themselves as "Rusins" or "Ruthenians". What could I say? There is no such nation as "Rusins", it is the fact! They are Ukrainians at least, and I don't care about their idle fancies....Yes they have language with some characteristic properties, but it is not individual and separated from Ukrainian, for sure.

Sorry Kostik but Russians are close to the old and todays people of Mongolia.

Yawn...Borrka-Borrka, try to invent something new... that really Russians have non-humain character for example...Then we will start to argue on this topic.

Do you know the difference between Russians and Poles?

Russians are ready to give away their national pride for some universal ideas, and Poles cannot. That is why you had lost your state (empire) in the past and (naturally will never be able to integrate in EU in full). You are the nation of self-destractors.

nothing wrong about that.

I don't think so, there is some racist faint notes in your words and it is quite obvious.

Sasha:

I bet they are? Dose Poland have some minorities? I have heard that you have significant Tatar minority on your territory, is it true?

That is why you had lost your state (empire) in the past

Kostik so what was the reason Russians lost their empire 1991 ?

A nation of 120 mln means nothing in todays politics.
So at least permanent exhaustion lol.

Warsaw and Washington signed a deal Wednesday to deploy a US missile shield in Poland, insisting the aim is to ward off Iranian attacks, despite deep Russian anger at the move.

Excuse moi Kostik but I'm not discussing Polish issues now.
ConstantineK  26 | 1298

Alas, only because there is nothing to discuss here. Poland is just a little, scared and embittered laboratory animal.

Oh, you have! You do have, I bet! It is clearly seen from the behvior of polish politics, writing of your so called intelectual elite, talks on this forum about Kresy and so on. It is quite obvious that you are trying to cover your unfounded dreams about dominance in the region by such nonsense as democratisation.
Bratwurst Boy  8 | 11710
20 Aug 2008 /  #146
I have to agree here....you Borrka seem to ooze chauvinism and nationalism!

Don't tell me you are not dreaming of a big, powerfull Poland to "teach Gerries and Russkies a lesson", right?
celinski  31 | 1258
20 Aug 2008 /  #147
unfounded dreams about dominance

Is this why it took both Nazi's and Soviets to attack one country? lol
