I hope we'll see Americans delivering oil to Poland if Russians cut off their oil supply. Poles can also expect oil and gas prices' increases.

What's with the signing? Eh, ever heard of defiance????

Tensions are already high and it takes 3 or 4 years to install this apparatus. Use ur brain laddie.

Apparently, the leaders of the five states decided to persuade the West and the USA first of all to take them under the secure military and political umbrella. This idea has been partly realized. Although the government of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk slightly criticized the blitz-visit of Lech KaczyƄski, it stated that the USA is now eager to provide Warsaw with "real security guarantees" in exchange for deploying AMD elements on the territory of Poland. Here deploying American Patriot missiles and streamlining the Polish air defense are meant. Yesterday U.S. negotiators arrived in Warsaw, which can be regarded the first palpable international outcome of the Georgian war.

It's not a principle-based approach, it's tit-for-tat, we'll show u politics.

How come there wasn't a need for such apparatus during the Cold War? After all, it has been dubbed as WWIII by some commentators. Poland was under communism and resented being so. It may have faced attack.

The talks were previously phased. Now they have been fast-tracked, brought to their conclusion in one fell swoop.

Shame the long installation process can't be expedited, LOL

Russia's actions in Poland in the last 200 years scared the Poles.

Say what?

"At a press conference in Moscow, the deputy chief of general staff, Gen Anatoly Nogovitsyn, said US plans for a missile base in Poland "cannot go unpunished"."

Freedom never was cheap.

What is that supposed to mean ?

In recent years everything has been fine and dandy over here. We already have freedom. A deliberate attempt to restart the cold war is hardly productive, is it ?

Are you willing to pay the extra cost of my fuel bill, should things take a turn for the worse ?

Spare me the Bush B.S. please. So glad I don't have to deal with that crap on a daily basis anymore.

Have is the key word.

Then why are you in agreement with a missile base that most inhabitants don't want, if it upsets the balance and could possibly make things difficult for us living here.

Please, explain to me how this agreement helps Poland.

Am I supposed to believe that there are no US ships and subs stationed off these rogue states. Ships that have the power to down missiles before they even cross the rogue country's border.

Please, explain to me how this agreement helps Poland.
