Real Estate / Flexible payment arrangement for land purchase in Poland [30]

I am not as yet convinced, that anyone can build on land they do not fully own.

I'm not sure what you mean here!

the guy owned 5 plots, sold 2 already,he provided us with local authorities planning permission related to the plot.

If your wife is fluent

I won't need a translator,my wife is polish and she will signing the deed.

Is this a WZiZT or a Pozwolenie na Budowe.

yes the plot come with a planning permission.
the seller(an acquaintance) purchased over 4 years ago 5 plots out of 13,he had the plan to build his house on the plot I'm buying.

he decided to purchase elsewhere closer to his wife's hometown.

Do you mind sharing about how much this land will cost?

No I don't mind
the plot comes with a permission to build one story+loft on 30% allowance of the plot (2000m²).
with 45% loft angle, building restriction 30 meters away from the lake
water and electricity available, close to main road,10-15 minutes from torun.
price 55PLN psm.

Make sure that the price quoted on your notarial deed reflects the 'true' value of the land.

I will do that.

UK, Ireland / England, Dirty, Expensive and a dangerous place to live? [205]

I found it particular disturbing when a you boy is knifed by 3 black youths, all from unstable backgrounds, in an unprovoked attack in London. Uncontrolled immigration in this country is out of control, and gives a really bad name to the genuine immigrants who come here.

a racist attack by black people.

here we go again another thread turning into racism and BS.

The thread is about dirty, expensive and a dangerous place to live.

I love where i live (south london),i guess populated cities are more dirty.

You are the only one mentioning racism , noone else.

Obviously you haven't read my first post.
don't dwell on it for too long otherwise it will turn to another hate thread.

As for it being expensive over here, if you compare wages in UK and Poland and then compare the prices of food, living etc. in both of those countries i think you can safely say that the Brits are still better off.

you're right, I know it's not Big Mac Index but once i paid over £3 for a moccha in Torun which i believe is very expensive, life can be expensive in Poland as well.

I think people overall in UK are better off,I don't blame anybody from EEC lost their job to stay put in UK,benefits are more generous

I just got an answer from the vendor,it's a WZIZT.

Do I see these as negative thing or not big deal?

Make sure that the price quoted on your notarial deed reflects the 'true' value of the land. I have heard of occassions (and I'm talking property here - flats or houses) where the price quoted was half of the actual price of the property. The other half was paid over in cash to the seller without it being recorded in the paperwork. This was done in order to avoid the tax due on the transation.

What is the downturn except paying more in Capital Gain (UK) if I decide to sell.

Yes I did check the terms, apart from restriction to build one story +loft which i can live with it since it will be holiday home.

the house must be 30meters away from the waterfront,i preferred little closer

Life / On Street Parking Fees Baffle Me [11]

here in Szczecin, I noticed today that in Podstrefa B
1 hour 2zl
2 hours 4.40zl
3 hours 7.20zl

& I wonder why the other side of the street is Podstrefa A (highest rate)
1 hour 2.80zl
2 hours 6.00zl
3 hours 9.00zl

go figure the logic behind that. :S

It could be the other side of the street belongs to different borough(if it exist in Poland)

Travel / One thing i Really hate about most Restaurants in Poland! [14]

I had an experience, funny enough it's coke this time :-) on the menu it says can of coke and the guy served me a glass(very small shot) from 2 litres bottle hardly any sparkling.

I don't mind how they charge it's a free market as long you get what is advertised on the menu.
