Life / what should i say to people while giving out opłatki? [9]

How do you like Lower Silesia?

Oh, just born and raised here, so I feel quite like home :D

Warszawa in 2 days. Pretty psyched to be back.

If you're ever in Wroclaw area (that's a capital of Lower Silesia but I am sure you knew that already ;P) just give me a yell!

Take care,
Merry Christmas :))

Life / what should i say to people while giving out opłatki? [9]

yes sirrr! i was trying to polskify my last name somehow, just for fun.

You certainly were, with a very good outcome :))
What part of the US are you from?

"No, z okazji boże narodzenia, życzę ci dużo zdrowia, szczęścia, radości, i właśnie, wysokich stopni w szkole!"

No, (to) z okazji Bożego Narodzenia życzę Ci.... (the rest is perfect)

You said four years of being within the Poles, right?
US I presume? Or is it Poland?

Anyway, your skills are impressive.
Cheers, Mr Nguyen :)

Life / what should i say to people while giving out opłatki? [9]

nguyenek

Is it a diminutive form of Nguyen? Pronounced New-yen in America?
:)

"Życię ci pełne zdrowia i szczęścia" (probably butchered the grammar there).

Hell yeah, you did. Not too bad, though :) If you had skipped 'pełne', that would have been perfect.

This time, I really want to say more things other than just zdrowie and szczęście

Honestly?
Hard to do.
Common saying is: "(...) zrdrowia, szczęścia i pomyślności", which is nothing but a cliche.

You want to wish a special thing to any person during the Xmas in Poland - just say so, from your heart, with all the words you know. That'll do.

Poles are pretty language-error-proof.

Or post here what would you like to say - we will help you out with the proper Polish grammar!

Take care and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
:))

History / History of the crime ; Bandera, UPA and Podole Polish land. [116]

trying to REJECT the fact that Ukraine is a country with its own history, intelligentsia, culture and so on and downplaying its importance is just a weak point in their argument.

Words of wisdom!

I guess this is why Ukraine received such a moral support* in their Orange Revolution (or whatever official translation of it is) - because the Poles reject their right to existence.

*not sure about the details, I lived at opposite corner of the world then and didn't pay much attention, know just bits and pieces

History / Valenza. "It is to fools we owe the minors joys of life" [14]

How it happened that ex-Polish president was invited to play a role of Don Quixote during the celebration on the soil of Poland's most bitter foe?

Commie era came to end in Poland first. Round table happened few months before the Berlin wall fell down. Walesa is a symbol of those changes, hence he was the one to play his role during the celebration.

As for a foe: are you sure? It's Germany and not Russia??

You guys are superb! I love your claim that it's impossible for a Pole to be a communist almost as much as I adore your claim that it's impossible for a Pole to be Jewish! What next, perhaps you'd like to use the same logic and say it's impossible for a Pole to be Catholic?!

You misunderstand, Harry. They are saying the communist government was foisted upon them by the Soviets

But THAT your little hasbara brain could not take, could it, hasbara troll?

No, everyting can be explained.

Same as today's Nazis. Who apparently were from Mars, cuz no-one ever speaks about their origins. Just Nazis. Mysterious Nazis. Landed on our Earth and took over whole Europe... then disappeared. Gone. Nobody heard about them again.

Daeniken case?
Hmm......

Again, focus on 1945, forget about years of hell prior to it.

Don't call someone else an animal if you behave like one yourself.

One more thing, Mr. Smarty Pants.
Read those two quoted sentences from above again. Then read your posts. Then read some books focusing on history and the events as they happend historically, date by date.

Do you see your OWN hypocrisy? Right THERE?
Do you?

Now, p!ss off.

under the control of the Nazis

That's your comparison and and an excuse? You DARE to compare France with Poland?

"The government lasted from July 1940 to November 1942, when the Germans finally took over all of France. Many leaders in the Vichy government continued to be powerful after the German takeover, and the period of Vichy governance in France was later extensively criticized."

"(...)This was opposed by his vice-premier, Henri-Philippe Petain, and the supreme commander of the armed forces, General Maxime Weygand. They insisted that the government should remain in France and seek an armistice."

Now, did Poland and the Poles willingly get f()cked by the Ruskies Soviets or the Kraut Nazis and happily organized puppet govs in a blink of an eye? Or they never collaborated with the Nazis and were forced to submit to the Ruskies by three We-Know-Bettah-What's-Good-For-Them, pollacks, powers?

Am I sure you don't see the difference.

Q. Why French tanks have one go-ahead gear and five reverse gears?
A. That one go-ahead is in case they were attacked from behind.

Q. Why there are so many trees in France?
A. German troops like to march in a shade.

then the Vichy government in France was not responsible for the deportation of Jews

Ahhh....Jews. Here we come to the point. Tell us more about this nest of animal antisemitism - Poland.

Au revoire, chiot.

No, the emphasis was on 'genocide'.

Oh, me so stupid, me no understand.

Don't call someone an animal if you behave like one yourself.

Get into shoes of people who survived a hell provided to them by loving neighbours, then speak up.

Quite the opposite: what the Poles did was to destroy most protestant churches and cemeteries.

Oops! Maybe some Polish losers from Warsaw got ****ed when few month earlier the Germans leveled their city, systematically, zee German style, burning buildings down one by one?

Honestly, boy...

File a claim with Hague, officially try to make the Poles GUILTY OF LIVING.
Now, **** off.

News / New York Post : "Polish" Death Camps and more [278]

Ethnic Cleansing:

Why did so many Germans stay in Poland for years if not for ever?

Death Camp:

How many death camps did Poland build to imprison and kill people in them?

Darfur Genocide:

You want the Poles to take a blame for Darfur, too? ok, I am open to suggestions.

Questions:
1. Was the German population forcefully removed from Pomerania, Silesia and pre WW2 Poland?
2. Were thousands of people tortured and killed in the so-called labour camps of Poland?
3. How many people died during the expulsion of the German population?

Answers:
1. Yes
2. Yes, by Polish camp commanders and guards and, most likely, with the acceptance of their superiors
3. Lowest estimates: 400000 - 600000 in the course of the expulsion measures

Again, focus on 1945, forget about years of hell prior to it. Poles! bent your shameful, sinful heads! Ruhe! Ich habe gesagt!

You do the thinking.

Yeah.... I think it's rather disgusting what you're doing here.

nd the Germans deserved it

Of course not! The Poles should have built at least 100 of churches and praise Hitler and other genocidal saints in them!

I'm just trying to make you guys use your brains (if available...)

It must be very comfortable to forget the negative things of Poland's past

lol. Right. Start making a use out your brains, Poles, by stopping to remember what could have let to some results.

Focus on 1945 and Polish 'dark secrets', forget about what happened in 1941.
Focus on 1941 and Polish 'responsibility', forget about what happened in 1939
and so on..

Just tell me where should I send my check and whom should I apologize to for this bloody monster within, responsible for blood spill over the ages.

So you agree this TheOther is just throwing crap hoping some of it sticks. "Death camps," "Poland's dirty secret," "the final solution," "killing in concentration camps,"of course as part of the final solution.

So true.
I guess what we should understand here is the Germans built their death camps first and started killing non-Germans there, only to PREVENT Polish death camps for the Germans to be built.

Poland almost did that! Almost, that's why it still reminds her 'dirty secret'...

If it really is alive, it can live without sucking the blood of a host.

Oh, Harry, enough.

I am sure your foetus was a grave mistake, but leave other fetuses be. Fetus can ONLY be seen as a parasite if mommy ****** every single guy on the block finally saying 'oops, no period' - and abortion is used in THOSE very cases the most.

Rape, health problems - that's another story.

"I should of" what language is that, Mr College Student?

If you study world's events as hard as you study your own language then there's no surprise you come up with such naive statements.

Unless you're a fob, then that's sort of ok.

supporting Israel caused 9/11 is an outlandish statement

Right.
PNAC, NWO, Israelis jumping with joy, shady 'proof', 'lose change' etc.

Not supporting Israel enough (as seen by the zionazis) caused 9/11. The American troops, paid by MY TAX MONEY, went to fight Israel's wars riiiiiiiiiiiiight after that.

Funny coincidence, isn't it?

PS. Don't worry, I am a fob meself.

PPS. Can we move this to the thread I opened recently, thank you, and leave this one to Sokrates's main theme?

an error on part of the Israelis

Captain Richard F. Kiepfer, Medical Corps, US Navy (retired), USS Liberty Survivor:

Never before in the history of the United States Navy has a Navy Board of Inquiry ignored the testimony of American military eyewitnesses and taken, on faith, the word of their attackers.[/quote]

Admiral Thomas H. Moorer:

But I say enough of this here on this very thread. If no-one else will, I will open a thread dedicated to Israel espionage on the Americans, something American taxpayers are even paying for.

I looked. The US has been abused by the zionists for quite some time now.
I'd rather my taxes were spent to feed the inhabitants of the tent cities in the States than buying a new rocket for Moshe.

But no worries here: sooner or later you will wake up. Well... I hope you will.

Cheers,
E_T

Sorry, are you talking about the Polish relationship with the USA? It certainly sounds like that.

Indeed. Poland is the country that receives unconditional aid year by year in billions of $$ even though the Poles occasionally make some faux pas, like stealing the US secrets or trying to kill everybody aboard some US ship.

But hey! sh!t happens, thank God the Americans, lobbied by some shy and quiet group are soooooo forgiving.
