Language / Any sweet Polish phrases [255]

what does pipcia means?

It's like "cipcia", more affectionate. Another way to call women's genitals. If I were you, I wouldn't use it to call anyone like that.Try "kochanie" instead:)

Food / where does Wodka originate from ? Poland or Russia or somewhere else??? [17]

where does Wodka originate from

My neighbour's bathroom

lol!

"The origins of vodka cannot be traced definitively, but it is believed to have originated in the grain-growing region that now embraces western Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Poland. It also has a long tradition in Scandinavia."-taken from wikipedia.

Love / New in Warsaw - can't find girlfriend. [12]

A lot of Polish women speak English.Maybe you're not trying hard enough to find one?And that's the problem.
Besides, many people in Warsaw don't have girlfriedns, so why you should be the first to find one?;)

Law / Owning a Taxi Business In Poland [4]

owning a taxi business?u mean a corporation?and employing taxi drivers? well i'm not sure about that, since, as far as i'm concerned, taxi drivers just belong to one "company" or "another", but pay taxes for themselves, so they run their own business. i'm not sure, whether you could own a taxi business.rather just be a taxi driver yourself.

Love / I can't trust Polish women any longer - where to meet a foreign girl? [123]

I'm reading...and reading and I can't believe what I'm seeing with my eyes. Polish girls are stuck-up and date only for money?

Excuse me,I'm Polish and it's not the money that counts for me. neither for my girlfriends.
Dear trismegistos, how can you be so sure that a foreign girl will be different?
Maybe you should just try and find a girl in Poland? Believe me, we are all not the same(as u'e even mentioned) and Wrocław is not the only city in Poland.

News / Should Poles become a minority in Poland? [150]

But it will not happen in the nearest future due to our economy, to our government...
What do you actually want to imply by asking questions as

I would like to ask if Poles would be content if Poland was to be colonised by 40 million Africans.. Asians.. and other different ethnic groups? Would you mind if the Polish people were a minority in Poland? Or would you want Poland to be the home of Polish people?

?

Love / Polish girls lying [193]

I'm polish myself and I just can't believe what I'm seeing with my eyes. What i've already learnt from here is that we either fall for guys who have money or who want to get married with us.Also: that we are cheats, probably best ones and that we date guys who can buy us presents or give us money. Is it really like that? To all of you who wrote those things about Polish girls...How many have u met already to become really objective. These are only a few examples. I can say the same bout girls from other countries and whose behaviour is similar. But not because of the nationality, but because of who they are.

I'm really sorry to hear that you haven't had any experience with polish girls who are actually nice and smart and (above all!) selfless. But believe me, there are girls and women in my country like that!

Love / Abuse in relationships (my first Polish girlfriend) [216]

but i find women trying to attack more funny than anything cause they tend to be so uncoordinated in their telegraphed flailing

because women aren't fighters by nature. However, sometimes their men do need a proper slap. Even if it's an "uncoordinated one". In the situation mentioned above, to me, it's well-grounded.

i meant a situation like the one mentioned above(with a proper slap) under no circumstances should you use violence when being in a relationship. Love and only love!

Study / Profi-Lingua anyone? [14]

They really are sharks and are nasty with almost all of their teachers.

but they wouldn't be able to run their business without the teachers!
it's funny, because currently I'm looking for a job and I found their advertisement on one of the websites and they are currently looking for teachers in many cities in Poland. This implies that something's wrong with that school.

Love / Polish girls are pretty and high on morality. [65]

and do not need to grab money as i am from a rich family.

yeah, and who cares from what kind of family you are? why do you feel superior over a pakistani person, eh?
and why do you claim that only girls from poor familIEs would date the above mentioned? that's just complete nonsense!

Love / Are Polish women too controlling? [106]

are polish women too controlling

right, for me you're rather obsessed with the whole 'polish woman" thing.your gf checks your txt messages, she is too controlling and because of her you turn to pf to ask those questions.sort yourself out with a psychologist maybe or simply dump that girl.

and the answer to your question is: no, not necessarily.to be honest, i don't know about girls from other countries, but many polish girls are perfectly normal and don't feel the need to control their boyfriends.

Love / "All because the lady loves a foreign accent..." [19]

I met a guy the other night, and dear god if he'd said the phrase "you say me" one more time I would have raped him on the spot :D

:)!
I like English accent, but not the londonish one though.I know that in London they've got four different dialects anyway, but none of them sounds nice to me.

I also like american accent, esp. the one from chicago, but listened to live, if you know what i mean. it sounds different in movies.

Love / Are Polish women too controlling? [106]

Balkan power
i beg to differ!
some of them do.

Yeah,yeah.Sekstouristky.

that's a funny thing to say!Because actually you can call girls from any nation like that during the summer time! I recommend a lecture of british girly magazines during the summertime.lots of articles about "how a girl got drunk, lost her friends at a party and had sex with, for example,a spaniard" or how british women come to ibiza and have sex with newly met guys.

yeah.polish women.sex turystki.

Love / Are Polish women too controlling? [106]

Mira, would you parade around pantless as balkanpower suggests? I doubt it!

Not really :) But that's me and Balkan power may be partly right, because some women really enjoy themselves walking pantless and in mini skirts.

Just like Britney Spears.Last year she would notoriously have photos taken of herself by paparazzi without underpants AND in mini skirt.

UK, Ireland / Poland vs. UK - how the manners differ [48]

A good ladette will swill beer at the same rate as the lads.

so true!
But I've noticed something similar in Poland. But girls here, instead of drinking beer, take shots of vodka. As quick as their male friends. Sometimes they can even drink more vodka than their male friends !

Love / Are Polish women too controlling? [106]

Krystal
I'm sure it doesn't depend on nationality. we, of course, can say that women from some countries are more likely to behave like u mentioned than from other, but stating that we think we can do whatever we want is complete nonsense!

Language / Ambiguous words? [całkiem and zapewne] [9]

First thing that came to my mind is that "całkiem" i usually folowed by an adjective.so u can say całkiem- what? : for instance: możliwe, prawdopodobne.calkiem can mean not enirely, whereas "zapewne" you use in a different context. to me, "zapewne" can start a sentence or appear in a sentence on it's own.it means "probably". i'm not an expert in this field, but i hope i explained a bit.this is how i understand the difference between those two words.

Travel / The best place to exchange GBP in Warsaw? [10]

i would definitely suggest airports, because you still have to pay more for a pound and you still get more for it too. at least it usually happened when i was exchanging money.

Life / Why do Polish people celebrate the name day? [11]

salsa
name day is usually celebrated more often when you hit your forties, fifties, sixties... and you're not so eager anymore to tell the world how old you are, but you still want to have a party, invite your family and friends to have some fun.
