A couple of my Polish friends have said food and history.

The Polish friends i took to the UK couldn,t find any English food that they could eat....They thought it was all rubbish.....!

I got flashed by a speed camera in Eastern Germany back in 1997.....I was in an English registered Landrover , which is now with me in Poland.....I am still waiting for my ticket...!

I can remember back in the UK when a quid would buy you a decent motorbike , a rubber overcoat to wear on the bike , three pairs of good boots , three stone of monkey nuts , and a ticket to see George formby at the palace theatre....those were the days eh....?

Women are women....Polish women come from the same planet as all the others...there are the good , the bad , and the ugly....I have yet to discover any radical differences between Polish women and those of any other nationality...

Life / What do you live in, apartment, house, car? [19]

I live in an old farm , built in 1936 , with very few improvements done since , needs a new roof , new windows , new wiring , and a host of other stuff... In winter its as cold inside as it is outside , and its misery....BUT....in the summer its perfect , peacefull with beautifull views over open fields.....My intention was to rough it here for a year , untill i had the money from the sale of my house in the UK to make improvements , but that went down the pan , so i have had to rough it out here for five years....Got another house in the UK to sell some day , when my dear aunt who lives in it passes on , but for now i live the life of a peasant farmer...no i would not give it up to return to the UK , i am staying...!

Is the Pope catholic...???? For sure there are some great Polish feeds with alchohol in....but i only eat em , i don,t cook em , so wait untill the resident cooks come on with advice on how to make them....and save some for me........please....

it could save me a fortune on my fuel bill.

Only problem is.....if you use the breakdown service too often they will refuse your renewal of membership...I had three breakdowns in one year with an old Landrover i had...got a letter warning me i could lose cover if i used them too often....

We moved over from West Yorkshire

Oh , i am not the only Yorkshireman in Poland then.....I am from Scarborough originally , but lived in Leeds for 22 years before moving to Polska...Before moving to Polska i was involved in taking aid to a kids home here , so iwas able to sling in some of my personal stuff along with all the stuff that i had collected for the kids home...I got a Polish trucking company that was going back to Polska empty to take the whole lot for free...unlikely people will do this for everyone , but you might find somebody delivering to the UK who will be happy to cut their costs by taking something back for you...

I was with a group of Poles and got introduced to the u boat...its a tumbler of vodka dropped into a pint of beer ....like a depth charge.....and just as dangerous...!

I don,t know the spelling either..but i know the demon stuff you mean....A mate of mine who is in the UK army brought me a bottle back from Bosnia where the stuff is known as ...sleepinaditch...i can see why....
