Feedback / Why do you keep coming back to PolishForums? [13]

During my life, i have had a lot of acquaintances from Central and Eastern Europe, but we did not have the chance to debate on many issues such as inmigration, racism, religion, customs, etc.

Here it is right in front of your face, and makes you wanna participate learn and discuss...thats why i come here often. It's fun, though some of the members should be spanked to death haha..joke..

maybe in Holland were many residents are Asian or African origin - my guess that for them is difficult to identify with Holland.

We have 93% of dutch residents, so we are a big mayority...nobody really cares for nationalism or patriotism...we are happy as we live...

They just want their own country;) Why not set them free?

Now, that depends, i mean, do we want a europe filled with countries of 10km2?

I mean is great to like your country,,but not take it to other extremes..it always ends up badly when patriotism grows and grows, many epxeriences have we lived in the past.

Those in favour of patriotism call it healthy national pride, a resepct and love for one's native land and national heirtage, as reflected in the well-known Polish motto: Bóg, Honor, Ojczyzna (God, Honour, Homeland/Fatherland).

This is too old fashion, this cancer has been erradicated from western-europe, therefore we live in peace now...a lesson to learn.

Well we all know Holywood is all about money, and unfortunately its quality is going down the drain lately. Films are becoming simpler and simpler, not challenging for the mind.

The mass media, i dare to say missinform people in the US, its hard to see an objective opinion.

Lastly i was laughing at some discussion-show in the CNN, which stated that Amsterdam is an Anarqui, ruled by criminal organizations and Mafia, a ruthless place with now laws, a failure of an atempt to progresism...Man i almost pissed my pants, i mean they were so-called "tv-informers" but yet they have probably never been in Amsterdam, and gave publicly in national TV their worthless stupid comments.

haha nice stories you read in this thread. Here one of mine:

I was 16, was in vacation with family in Peru, we went to one of the inca forts outside trujillo, and browsed around a bit. There are a lot of little perfored stones which the incas used to make neckeless, so i started looking for them as well. It was getting late so we had to leave, i took a big load of sand with me in a bottle to look for stones in it, later.

I left the bottle under my bed at night, big mistake!!!

It started by me having a dream of a huge black shadow kidnaping me, the fear made me awake, just to feel someone laying on me and stopping me from moving, the door started to slam, i heard footsteeps coming right at me, and the sofa suddenly began to shake..i heard laughter and weird noises.

I managed to get out of the bed and run to my parents. it was horrifyng..never again did i enter my hotel room, untill we left.

Advice of the story: never take old cementary sand home...spooky!!

I do believe there are entities around us, but i DO NOT believe that they are people who died. It is illogical to think that they would hang around for the eternity on earth.

Iam not a religiou person, but i believe when we die we must go somewhere and not stay around our graves or homes.

I was told once by a christian missionary that all those sightings and ghostly experiences are taylored by the hand of the devil. Just to distract us from the real truth.

ah well, gotta say that the cultural influence of the USA is slowing down, it hitted its hardest at the end of the 80's, 90's, so no biggie.

I guess the idea of marrying a foreigner, especially from a far away country makes it more interesting and exotic.
