Genealogy / Anyone Else 1/2 Polish??? [58]

I am Mr. Grunwald
From my mother side im 50% Norwegian no doubt
From my father side I am partly, German, Lithuanian, Polish (Maybe even Ukrainian since my grand granddad lived in Kiev o_O)
I officially say to everyone I am 1/2 Norwegian and 1/2 Polish some even consider me 100% Polish here in Norway! xD
Very ironic truely yeah.
I consider myself a patriot of both Norway and Poland, since I don't meet many anti-Norwegians in Norway I have no big need of battling anti-Norwegians :=)

More problems with the Polish thing! And yeah I know Polish :=) Dad taught me it since I was little kid (Huge family on Polish side so it was important)

Also I have anscestry from a noble family "Szlachta" the knight kinda part :=)
Had some areas but the communists stole it yaargh!
Also my family participated in 2 Polish uprisings! (1 in 19th century another one in 1944-1945)

Well when I am in the public nobody asks me are from a foreign country or what so ever, I may even have less then 10% blood in me o_O mostly German Lithuanian bllod and Norwegian. But my family has allways lived in Poland and feel themself Polish, and speak Polish. So it's really wierd for me but online and in pubpic im accepted as a Pole. In my family I am seen as very Polish becaouse of my sense for Polish history + I speak Polish :D

I live in Norway, I am Norwegian if I voted becaouse of my Polish heritage I would been seen as worse then foreigners, a non-Norwegian foreigner with no connection or will of beeing in Norway.

I am fully pro-EU but I won't vote even if I could until Norway becomes part of the EU wich I doubt

there was still some VERY few(?) who did colaborae, heck there were even some in Poland but thoose few in Greece said oficially we support you, there was a minor thingie. But representing correctly the whole population, that's why puppet state :)

Same with Norway, not that many were pro-Germans but not many were against them eiehter. Very many were just watchers. Each nations has it's shares of guilt in anything but it is UP TO YOU! To descide if you look upon them as bad or good, I really pitty Harry he thinks of every nation as guilty in something and loves to prove it (Not that I blaim him really, many nutcases here with narrow minded thinking)

Yepp, (Iphone's Ipod) I listen to it, when I play a Russian game called WW1. When im France it just make it a perfect scene when hundreds of Frenchmen marches into the mashine gunfire.

Sometimes I also listen to it when not playing it, it's a very bloody anthem!
"Let our fields turn red" or something, it's from the times of revolution I think. The Russian is also not bad but becaouse of Putin I haven't got it. (yet) I have hope for them!

I would call it an mass murder if you think Stukas sending bombs on colums of civilians, but bombing towns, then it's more like destroying the town is main objective, not the people (civilians) so the pilots may not think that their mass murderers, some get's unlucky blown up. But atomic bomb on a city or soldiers shooting people in columns infront of them for no special reason, well that's mass murder?

My mom was in trouble with her car last year, guess who cared? Only 1 Norwegian but he couldn't do anything, some indians but they just didn't understand the language and only spinned the wheel. But then guess who came by? Some Poles from a nearby farm! They called some more Poles and they got a tractor and helped my mom's car to get back on the road! Beat that one :)

I have seen you mentioning the Wehrmacht to be innocent! The whole army wasn't ment to do such cruelties but some just did it! Tho if their were punished for doing it (I highly doubt it unless you prove it to me) I will change my mind.
