damn.. i got 141..

and have to contest IV,8 as the answer is actually a not b. the article talks about problems as well positives thus nullifying answer b.

not "10. Kto to był ten mężczyzna, _____? "
but "10. KIM był ten mężczyzna, _____? " it's not big mistake, but it is.

nah, the first is right also. the two sentences actually have two different meanings. they are not the same.

Zosia (should be Zosiu)

i was thinking that too.. it's a bit unnatural but Zosia could be an old skool way of saying it. not sure.

Should be "Dokąd idziesz?". It's very common mistake.

not really.. dokad asks for a more precise location then gdzie. dokad could also have a time/timing inferred.

i tell ya, there are a lot of nice places in poland.. i think it also depends on one's outlook on things... if it's michal or rocky, it's always going to be trouble for them no matter where they are.

oh, kazimierz dolny is a fantastic little medieval town on the vistula.

Study / Advice / Info on attending Jagiellonian Medical College [13]

oh yeah.. the guy is in krakow right now actually but will return in a week or so.. i'll know more then.. his brother told me that he was very satisfied with his studies there and is doing a residency in US.. he switched his specialty though somewhere along the way but not sure if that was after or during the studies at jagiellonian. the brother didn't mention any issues and i am sure he'd be aware of that if there were any. remind me in a week or so and i'll ask again.

i remembered it just took a minute. lol haven't heard the term in ages.

i've also spent some time na pomorzu in all kinds of places between szczecin and gdansk and can't recall a bad place.. beaches are nice albeit the water a bit chilly to my liking. :)

lol.. "ferie": had to think about that to recall the meaning.. i spent all of mine in szczawnica.. most of "kolonie" in the mountains too. just a couple in other areas of PL.

Try Golumpki, which is meat and potatoes stuffed into cabbage. It tastes like happiness. So good. Personally, you give me a plate of keiłbasa, some golumpki, and a bottle of Chopin and I'm a pig in slop.

beef amd rice or barley.. with potatoes it's not polish.

yeah, jagellonian u. is highly reputable especially in this program. it is also internationally known. i think he further studied in budapest but i do no know what either direction these were in. i'll find out a bit more tomorrow. he works in the US right now.

not by everybody in PL. katyn the book came out.. what? about 81or2? that was probably the first public writing on this subject. how many copies do you think made it in? a handfull or two? maybe.

.but you know that most of these commies were Poles themselves, don't you?

most if not all canadians i know have summer cottages and such.

Speaking with Poles has lead me to believe that Toronto is to Canada as Warsaw is to Poland: you like it if you grew up there, and the rest of the country hates it. I bet if you looked hard enough on the Canadian government's website you'd find "hating Toronto" listed under 'favourite Canadian pastimes'. Toronto is probably the most "American" city in Canada.
