Love / BLACK GUYS POLISH WOMEN [809]

People sometimes go after things they can't have.
They do things they are forbidden to do.
So maybe that's why white women like black dudes because it's a challenge, an opportunity for a different life or to show their family that they can't tell them what to do.

Language / Girls names in Polish - why do they end in "a"? [10]

Because that's the way it is.
Most feminine objects end with an "a" also, example:
ta kapusta
ta sukienka
ta woda
Masculine objects end on any letter they want:
ten samochód
ten but
ten talerz
Then there are these neutral dudes that end with an "o":
to krzesło
to masło
to piwo

I suppose I will have to prove that I am single and never married from this side of the channel.

I don't think you need anything to prove that.

Language / Use of ze and z [25]

Why would it be ze psem and not just z psem

Lost your glasses?

like gips u nogi, it is simply strange usage of Polish.

You say "noga w gipsie" or "gips na nodze".
You say "palec u nogi"

Life / Belgian moving to Krakow, need practical info [38]

True.
My friend's radio just got stolen a few months ago. Some black guys moved in the neighborhood and they go after radios.
I wish someone would steal my car, it's 10 years old.

omg...krysia...

I'm serious. My friends in Kraków bought a brand new Fiat 126p. They had it parked in front of their apartment. One night it got stolen and my friend has to go to work, and can't find his car anywhere. This is true. I have another friend who is a taxi driver in warsaw. He tells me all kinds of stories how cars get stolen. Even his own Syrena got swiped away one night!

You can bring your car but it might get stolen. Even if you lock the doors, and take the steering wheel out. And the way some people drive it might get smashed. So if you value your car, I would leave it at home and rent one, if you can afford it, or use the public transportation, which is very good.

Language / How to learn Polish ASAP? (speaking is my priority) [22]

Speak it first. that's how children learn a language because they are too young to read. That's also the suzuki method for violin. You first play by ear then read the notes.

USA, Canada / Are holidays to Florida popular in Poland? [21]

How much did you pay for your car insurance? I know UK car insurance is invalid in the U.S.

I don't have to pay because my insurance extends to rental cars, but you can purchase insurance from them. You have to contact them personally because rates vary from place to place.
