Cool Polish names

I like to look at the nameday names just to see which of my friends I should send greetings to. Today I noticed 3 names which I have not seen before and which struck me as unusual and interesting. Cool, actually.

Afrodyzy, Afrodyzjusz and, favourite, Afrodyzja

Which Polish names do you really like?

I thought that for each name, there is often more than one name say per year. You have to get the right one. I think it's the next time their name appears after their birthday.

I don't have a favourite Polish name.

mine has on;ly 2 days in a year.. both are pretty close together.. almost all people with my name celebrate it on the same day as i do... never met another that didn't.

maria had a namde day at least once a month.. i think that is also true of Piotr and Pawel.

and Krzysztof is basically celebrated by everybody on the 25th July, there are maybe 2 more days in the year with my Nameday, but they are virtually unknkown (and rarely given in normal calendars, with 2-3 names per day, only in those extra expanded listing 4-5 names each day)

Ania

Whenever I hear or read this name, I can't help but remembering a fragile girl and her twin sister, who couldn't stay in the sunlight for too long because of an allergy, she was a bit clumsy, beautiful and very kind.. She beats all the cute factors really! We had a serious crush, but due to unexpected circumstances and her very bad English we've never heard from eachother again..

Cheaaa! My first Polish puppy love experience ever!

*sniff*

The really cool name I love is spelled the same way in Polish as in English. The people who have this name are really cool, exciting and fun to be around with.

The name is Robert. :)

It is a very cool name, but the English equivalent (Agnes) is not so much.

Yep, its a name. Its more commonly used as a nickname for someone who is called Agnes but there are a few lucky people who are called Senga.

My favourite Polish female name is Zosia.
