UK, Ireland / Polish parents hang themselves at their Lincoln, UK home [66]

It just seems tragic that many of the people who need help wrt this the most, do not get it in time if at all.

you are so right and if we say its a weakness, then people will say oh well and
turn their backs because they view weakness as a controllable thing like smoking
and drinking, and wont offer up any help or see signs of depression ( like what
prob happened here) and of course untreated , leads up to this.

there was a mother of a child who suffered post partum depression and
she killed her child, the father went right back to work leaving her all alone
and she snapped and drowned it..

and yes this makes me angry and upset, you dont think even for one minute
someone can be capable of such a thing but she was a immigrant living in
America with no family to help and she just had a baby, sleep deprivation,
factors in, she cant speak english, she is alone, the list goes on.
and the husband was back to work , she became manic..

depression isnt a weakness. because a weakness is something you can control
and choose not to by having an affair, or drinking that last beer, or smoking
that last cig or eating one more piece of candy.. these things you can stop
because you mind is still in control.
in depressed state, you cant..

let me also say, when my mother died, that was my first experience of feeling
a loss of control, I dont even remember driving home, and I had no control
over the tears, it was like a water fall, and it wouldnt stop, I felt helpless and
a sense of not really being in the physical world.. the next day reality came back
my head was pounding, I was sick to my stomach, I couldnt eat, I wanted to
sleep, but I kept seeing my mom take her last breath over and over in my mind and I couldnt stop this.. and I work in a hospital where they teach us to deal with

death, because we will see alot of people die and so it hardens you to some
extent, but nothing prepares you for such a loss when its a very close family
member, someone whom you love unconditionally.

but, I came out of it.that was not weakness, it was sorrow, despair, loss of
thoughts, loss of control, loss of my best friend..

So therefore there is an element of weakness.

so where the heck is all this govt help they are supposed to be getting??

where is any help?? they go to a place where a bunch of rude /excuse me
because this will be blunt Rude arse Feks who dont want them to have
a better life Namely people like no immigration who cry and whine when someone
makes money, so they taunt and call names and make their lifes a living he**
because they want better.

no immi, its none of your concern, I dont know why you even posted.. call
someone else weak when you cant even keep your self employed you have to
make a big deal over something you have no real concern for anyway..

Pathetic lies,, your full of them.. I wouldnt trust you as far as I could throw
you,, it sickens me that you even had the balls to post in this thread
because all thru since you joined youve done nothing but knock Polish down
and you are a polonophobe. whatever puzzler says, your one. true to the
term itself. I didnt believe but he was right it exists alright.. dont keep lying
to everyone and yourself that you care about what happens to anyone who
is polish when everyone knows you hate them!!!!!

when someone does this, some part of their brain has snapped, reality goes
out the door, people do these things not out of weakness, out of despair..
and so many are exploited its ridiculous..
look at the tesco situation where the management was making them wear
nappys, I know this was a few years ago. but still..... comon.. i find it degrading
and for christs sake this is 2004 or 2003 we are talking about .. not 1950!!!!

what is wrong with people??? how can anyone allow this to happen??? if it meant me losing my job to save face , then screw them.. Id be the definate irate

employee.. u find my nappy in your soupy at lunchy thats what I thinky!!

Life / Poles need to learn to save! [73]

who uses paper plates for each daily meal.

she must be lazy then, I hate using paper plates.. maybe we do for when
a large amount of people come over, but never for daily use, wash the dishes!

People in rich countries do seem to waste more. But really if anyone wants to see the environmentally friendly country go to Norway.

well if thats true, we should be following in their footsteps.

I am asking, who is the waster now?

you are right, at some point it was a big deal to conserve and to recycle, and
its not like that anymore, people went back to old ways, and even my work
used to recycle ( hospital) and now they dont, and I think it has to do with
money/pickup , because I do not see the recycle bin outside the hospital
anymore.

News / America: Take your missile base and shove it! [116]

Russian President Vladimir Putin's power solidified this week when his supporters won control of the parliament in elections marred by reports of intimidation, fraud and harassment.

yep Id sure want him to rule my country ...

"There was the strange situation that the executive branch almost chose the legislative branch," Kiljunen said. "It is supposed to be the other way round."

eh well guess theres nothing wrong with doing things half arse backwards

weekly.ahram.org.eg/2002/603/re3.htm

they say britian is not too.. so where ever you get your info..it seems to be
kinda spreading like a weed.. weeds are like trolls.. trolls are ugly..

In a weekend article in the New York Times newspaper, unnamed CIA officers tell of one of the presumed dozens of sites, hitherto vehemently denied by the Polish government as having been located within the country.

newstin.com/tag/us/65430867

it also says *UNNAMED* so its easy to accuse someone in high rank as well..
another media fed garbage.

poland denys and britian denys.. no one likes us..

boo hoo.

History / Are Germans going to pay for WW2? [180]

How about everybody stops moaning and complaining!!!!

*tears well up as she clutches her teddy bear*

you dont like my suggestion? * sniff Sniff*

Hitler was not a German and manipulated his way into power.

yep.. and people who need some closure can have it by actually writing
about it.. its better then bashing each other. which we all know this topic
keeps coming up.. and its not like people dont have remorse.. they do.

The ones who keep bringing it up have either lost family during this time or
still have family feeling the effects of it - its hard and no one can ever truly
understand..

but on the flip side.. people who have moved on, appalled by the whole being
of the war , want to live for today, we have so many things going on in this
day and age dwelling on the past only keeps you held back in your own world.

both sides have valid points.

History / Are Germans going to pay for WW2? [180]

ok

here is a suggestion...

lets take the most factual part of each thread about the WWII and make it sticky
and at the top of the thread say:

this thread is only intended for educational purposes only, as it stands
WWII ended a long time ago and those responsible brought to justice..
we must remember to blame those responsible during that horrible time.
European nations have since come together and live side by side with
peaceful govts working towards a better future for Europe..

then, if someone is a scolar/teacher with some vital information about it
it can be sent to the admin ( with their permission of course) to evaluate
and place in the thread as part of the *FACTS* about the war and this
would certainly cut back on all the arguments and anger going on every time
this topic comes up..

or do it the simple way and just close the thread so that no one is name
calling :)

some have stronger feelings then others...what other suggestions does anyone
have ?

Caring for one's family is a real good advise instead!

this is very solid advice.. good thoughts BB :)

You harmed us greately and now, i can tell to you: I would be happy when Russia finish with you and, that day would come, as we all know, because you seek for troubles and it would be given to you what goes for you

crow

this is BullS**T u choose to come into a forum and say such things and
u r blaming who? is this how it works??

I had so much respect.. its one thing to come in and explain things and talk
about them, but u r wishing bad on the wrong person.. maybe all of us dont
understand, never been there, so what right do u or anyone have to wish
something to happen like that?? its all Govt and u know it.. so why say something so vengeful to someone who takes no part in warring/people dying

and is only a citizen of that country?

if its all about revenge and death then u do have issues.. we all need to talk
about it but the hate u feel is driving u in the wrong direction and I strongly
suggest u get a grip on it.. dont let it lead u blindly..

u should apologize to Shelley for stating what u did.. I know u r more a gentleman
then that.. she alone didnt cause the problems Serbia is facing and she alone
isnt responsible for what british/german "GOVTS" cause.

and if I took this post wrong I apologize in advance

Life / Polish Integration with other Nationalities [150]

the more I hear about how little other cultures actually think of European women the less I think it is a good idea to mix.

I agree with you for the reasons of other countries thinking they are easy
or less of them, when they have values and morals and its noticeable
with men who come from other countries ( as observed from American gal)
that they think this way and have to be put in their place.

I dont like to generalize, but of course I cant say which countries because
there is abundance and I dont stop to ask which country they were taught to
be so horny in.. :) lol

UK, Ireland / Are the Poles in England hated? [450]

they get furious because they are stuck with women that look alot like a mutant creatures. Brit/Irish women know they have no chance in competing with Polish girls.

do u realize that by saying this even though your throwing out compliments to one
nationality and disgracing another.. your making it so much more harder for Polish
women to walk safely around ???

your creating hate by saying these things.. do you not think that someone might
read this and take it to heart and it can cause problems for all Polish women
who are attempting to make good, will now run into problems because of all
the hype surrounding their beauty??

and saying Irish women and British women are mutants is totally false, because
there are so many beautiful women in each country,, this has to stop now!!

you will only make more problems happen for those who travel alone,, theres been
incidents so this must stop now.. your making /causing hate and its better to
keep these opinions personal and to yourself... theres alot of controversy over
Immigration as it is,, lets not make things worse.

Love / Stalker Friend of my Polish GF? [40]

you need to butt out.

if you read the first post, the polish girl likes him and hes only looking out for
her well being..

dont discard the fact that he could become violent or harm her if shes only
met him twice and he wont leave her alone.. apparently this girl is naieve
to this type of situation.. so of course she wont think hes harmful, but if
hes waiting daily outside for her, hes either a relative or stalker.. we all know
hes not a relative.. so.

Love / Are all Polish women the same..... [81]

are all Polish men ruled by there women?

yep.. we even build doghouse with your name on it so when you are
bad its ready ...

lets be serious.. if you are ruled by anyone it should be yourself..
maybe females lay rules down because if males get unrulely we have
to have something to let them know theres the door dont let it hit you
in the arse.

that also applies to females.. ya just have to make sure who your with
is not controlling. if you sense something like this where they are telling you
rather then asking, then time to take a walk..

imho

Love / Confused English man: is she stringing me along or is she confused? [62]

they met 3 years ago and he phoned her every day since

yep I agree with bubba, after three years there should be more then his effort
in place.. I could see her holding back in the beginning, but not now.. she should
be planning a wedding by now..

I think you should go back home, and wait for her to call you. leave all the
decisions up to her.. tell her this is how you feel. its what you want or you have
to move on. if she doesnt respond, then you know..

sorry you are going thru so much. :(

Life / Well You visited and/or lived in Poland, tell us what its like. [41]

Its a melting pot of cultures and everyone feels welcomed because of it.

well maybe, the friend I know said she never felt welcome, she is a nice person
too, she smiles ,and she is friendly, she said that the atmosphere was a whole
different story.. now her experience to yours... I guess it depends on the area
because within six months she was back here in Michigan.

so no I dont have it wrong, I maybe should have worded it differently and I
will correct my mistakes, but this is her experience, I do know that the pace
is alot faster there.

I've been to Warsaw twice with a Polish friend. I found people very friendly, actuallymuch friendlier than many places. The food was great and the nightlife was good too. I would love to go to Poland again.

:)

I would love to see Poland and England.. I really think both are two of my goals
to be able to visit in the future .

If I see him outside work I may call the police myself - but really it is up to her - has anyone got any experience of this kind of thing or can offer some advice here?

well. I would show her some evidence of this type of behavior via the intranet
getting as much information on the type of behavior so she knows what she
is dealing with and how to get out of that situation.

Life / Well You visited and/or lived in Poland, tell us what its like. [41]

Coming from New York,

well, I dont get mean attitudes here in the united states,, living in New York, I
can say I know someone who came back from New york and she said it was
horrible.. New York is not the place to live or visit.. they have a very hard
core, fast environment.. the are a city within a city.. its just a different place
to live.. I can say, that when things like 9/11 happen, all the differences go
away and people come together.. as observed on tv when it happened..
the whole United states was pulling their weight to offer assistance and
so your above comment might have been true for you personally living there
but the united states as a whole I disagree.. if you havent been down south
people are extremely friendly and you get hellos all over..

it depends on where you go I guess. btw, the girl I know said that where she
lived, was bugs in her apt, she said she had hard time finding how to get to work
she said people were not friendly like we were in Michigan ( we rock)
and she missed us so much.. she went for 6 months and before the 6 months was
up she was calling and trying to get the heck out of there..

if you never grew up there, and dont know how things work, your going to
feel out of your element.

Btw, Im South asian, incase anyone is thinking that I'm getting this treament due to having the blonde hair, blue eyes syndrome!

well good, glad to hear that people are treating you well.

I *think* that I see where you are coming from... if you take London as an example, an Investment Banker from New York and living in Mayfair is going to see the city differently than somebody who is born and bred Bethnal Green. Is that what you mean?

investment banker?? is he single :) LOL

kidding :)

Are you stuck there? it just sounds crap,
can I say crap on PF? I will cheak with this
Is there a list of words I can not say on PF?

u r being negative.. lol..

besides.. its ok to have negative.. this gives room for improvement.. and
it can only get better..

but potholes.. I hate them too.. they anger me.. sometimes I need to
go in other room and fight the urge to call the govt out and say what is
your problem??? do they not realize how much money we spend fixing
our cars yearly??? get off their lazy butts and fix the roads!!!

yep just like when someone says they have dark clouds over their skys
well that wont stop the fun from happening.. if it rains then go inside :)

I do not understand what you are trying to say? could you please clarify

well I dont know how much more explanation you need.. its plain and simple
what part dont you understand? I said every country has same problems
and there are places people shouldnt go to because of higher crime etc..
thats all over the place. but all in all I would think Poland is a beautiful place

Life / Well You visited and/or lived in Poland, tell us what its like. [41]

I have just given up telling people that I REALLY enjoy living here and that things are good. I have lived in far worse place, believe me.

well I think the reason people become negative is because what is their reality
and yours isnt the same.. not everyone has the picket fence and I think thats
why so many say negative.. it is all in what we experience and its nice to hear
positive.. I agree with that.. because of so much negative, but we still have to
keep a grip on the reality too.. which is same for every country , especially those
who are tourists.. some places are not for visitors.. as much as we like to protect
our country.. we all know bad things happen.

but I dont mind if this thread stays on the positive :)
