Hi all, I have commercial modeling and singing experience. Is it hard for such people to live in Poland?

I don't know about singing. About modeling then if you are at an average level - e.g doing stuff for supermarkets, Malls, clothes shops or other advertisers that will be difficult and outside Warsaw almost impossible. Send your stuff to a few agents and see what their response is.

Not at all. It is quite helpful, at least in my case. I did some modelling in my youth. Today, every year, when I notice that my students don`t respect me enough, I show them my portfolio photos. The impression I make on them is so immense I have no problems whatsoever with keeping discipline in class later on.

If you have the time, you can always register with film studios who often seek people to star in commercials, films or TV serials.

Thanks all! I prefer things like printed ads/mall catalogs and the like as I look better on still photos than on video. Is the entertainment industry focused in Warsaw?

commercial modeling

You have to turn up to all the castings and get known by the casting agents. My friend got into it through film extra work; he does ok in it as a sideline. Now he doesn't do castings; they approach him.

Working as an 'extra' is great fun, have done it myself. If you are available and they need you, you could make some money.
