Any leads or websites for hiring English-speaking tradesmen (electrician, plasterers etc.)?

Hi all,

As an ex-pat, I've recently bought an apartment in Warsaw that needs renovation and I'm looking for tradesmen (an electrician, plasterer, heating guy) that can speak even a little basic English.

I've been learning some Polish but I'm nowhere near competent enough (yet) to communicate effectively in a situation like this. My girl here is Polish so she can contribute but I generally prefer to take these matters into my own hands! Anyone know of any websites or links where you can screen for English-speaking tradesmen? I'd assume that native Polish contractors will not speak English (that's why they are contractors). Your other option is to hire a Polish foreman/engineer/architect who speaks English and who could foresee the job.

I'd advise simply hiring a reliable interpreter recommended by either the consulate or
someone you trust.
