Hello all,
Fortunately / Unfortunately I recently got divorced.
Am I legal bound to inform my employer about it in Poland?

Thanks for advice.

If you got your resident permit because of marriage with a Polish citizen, you need to inform the voivodship government about divorce.

It is worth remembering about the obligation to inform the competent voivode about the issuance of a final judgment of the divorce court. A foreigner with the right of temporary residence is required to notify the voivode of the cessation of the reason for granting the permit within 15 working days. In the event of a divorce, this period will run from the date of the divorce decree becoming final (Article 113 (1) of the Act on foreigners).

I have a permanent residence that I got before the marriage. So my query is really about any obligation towards my employer.

any obligation towards my employer

If your resident status is not an issue, then why would your employer care?

You may want to tell them due to emergency contact/ right to your information etc

You definitely have to tell the tax office - so make sure that doesn't fall through the cracks, and if you were joint filing then make sure your ex also informs them.

I can't find anything explicitly stating you should tell your employers
