I just read a Wall St Journal article about it. I'd like to hear more...from those who actually have a real understanding.
It appears immigration, addressing a stagnant economy, and undoing green energy policies drove Reforms success.
The article stated that if a general election was held now, Reform would capture more seats than any other party but fall a bit short of an outright ruling majority.
Another interesting thing is the Green Party made some gains. The Greens are eating into Labours base, according to the article.
It seems all throughout the West there has been a realigning away from the old political parties toward new parties/movements. Like the old is perceived as not equipped to deal with the current times and the looming future. As well as, people are just tired of being left out to dry by our pols-tired of the empty promises, tired of being used, tired of being screwed, tired if being lied to, and tired of feeling more and more squeezed.
This is probably going to become an even greater phenomenon as our societies start feeling the effects of AI.

What is the Boundaries' Commission? I'm genuinely deeply fascinated about the particular things that are different from what I know and experience. The complexities (or differences) of the British system interest me.
Some of what I'm reading, the point is being made that the fact Reform did as well as they did in these local elections is unexpectedly abnormal. That it is a sign that there is something much deeper than usual going on and that Reform is capturing that deeper unusual thing.
