Hi me and my friends are interested in visiting Krakow next April. We are 3 guys and I would like to have some ideas on the best location for an apartment/ hostel
Also, please can you suggest some interesting places to visit during the day.. and how about the nightlife? any good clubs or pubs? I m from Malta and like most of the maltese, we love to party.

It really depends on your budget, by UK standards there are plenty of cheap (and nice) places right in the centre. Do you have a rough idea of how much you want to spend in zl?
As for places to visit/Things to do during the day:
Wawel Castle
Auschwitz
The Salt Mines
City Tour
Jewish District
River trip to Tyniec (you can hire a boat yourself if you have a licence)
Bars & Restaurants:
Check out the bar at the top of hotel Kosak, not lively as such, but its got the best views in the city.
We always like to start off at Movida as they do good (and well priced) cocktails.
Spend at least 1 evening in the Jewish district, there are loads of bars and restaurants, its a lively area, worth checking out
Babcia Malina- Simple traditional Polish food, but a firm favourite, we always go there!
There are loads of clubs and bars dotted around, obviously the closer to the square the more expensive, so its worth moving a bit away from the square, personally I think the Jewish district is the best part of Krakow to go out in, but I'm sure there will be plenty of locals who know the city much better than me!
Merged: Traveling in Poland - itinerary?
I am going to travel for 3 weeks in June. I am going to spend 1 week in Krakow. I would like some suggestions for other cities. I was thinking maybe, Prague, Vienna/Bratislavs, Budapest. Can anyone offer me a rough draft itinerary of how I can plan my trip? I'm gonna be traveling with another person. We would prefer to keep it as cheap as possible in regards to cost so I'm envisioning staying in hostels. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
