Is Poland safe to visit now (considering the war)?

I'm planning to travel to Europe. First to the south (Spain, Italy, France) then to Germany. I'd love to visit Poland, but is it safe considering the Russian-Ukrainian war?

Do Polish people travel through Poland without any fear? Are the areas close to the Eastern border safe to stay?

Finally, is it worth seeing Czechia or Slovakia while you're in Poland?

I'm afraid to go to Russia considering I'm from the US, even born in Europe, and it's on their foreign adversary country list. I don't want to be recruited to the Russian army either :(

They would consider me a fake American because I have a foreign accent. But I hoped Polish girls don't mind travelers like me.

I don't think Poles worry about traveling within Poland, so you are safe. If you're in the south of Poland, visiting Czechia (especially Prague) and Slovakia is a good idea, especially if you like hiking in the mountains.

Yes, events in other countries haven't made Poland less safe.

It's as normal here.

Yes, Poland is one of the safest countries in Europe apparently.

Are you serious? ;D

Where are you from, btw?

I live in Canada with my girlfriend now. Born in the UK to Polish parents. I read Polish, but it's hard to find out in the Polish newspapers the real situation in Poland. There's not a lot of information, but there is also no panic. So it's good you reassured me it's safe there.

I think you're reading the wrong newspapers.
