They had a very old Hercules by the entrance that you could visit.

Cool!

Military aircraft?

Yes! :)

Also for protecting each other from enemy fire

Yes, that may be one of the reasons, but have you noticed anything about those contrails?

anything about those contrails?

One is double, i.e. small planes escort the large one. An alternative would be to refuel in the air.

Where I grew up was close to an RAF base and they had an old Spitfire there. It was used in the 1967 film 'The Battle of Britain'.

I would go with that. I thought for a moment that it was two planes as it looks like two sets of contrails but they're too close together to be separate aircraft.

That's even cooler :)))

Yes, exactly! :)))

The one with the double contrail is Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker (a flying gas station) accompanied by fighter jets - they were flying over Poland a few days ago.

Something that came out of the ocean like a seahorse looking creature.

@Joker, nope, it doesn't have anything to do with the ocean :)

They are a bit blurred so it's hard to see detail.

Does A) have a couple of seed pods in the photo? I thought at first the long curved thing was a piece of bone but I don't think it is now. The whole thing reminds me a bit of potpourri.

B) looks a bit like some kind of fossil but I'm sure it's not.....

Picture A looks like a calendula seed

@Barney, yes, that's exactly what it is! :D

Btw, I forgot to mention that both things in photos A and B belong to the same group, so in the photo B it's also a seed. The one in photo B is probably also a calendula seed.

Those seeds are part of an assortment of seeds belonging to a certain type of plants. Can you guess what type of plants are they?

@Paulina
Wild flowers or sometimes called meadow flowers. I love calendula, they self seed every year on my plot. I often give these seeds to neighbours but allow a good few to bloom every year.

@Barney, yes, bingo! :))) This selection of seeds is called "łąka kwiatowa" or "łąka kwietna" in Polish (flower meadow). An apiarian shop in my city was giving such bags with wild flowers seeds for free to celebrate the first day of spring, so people would plant them in their gardens and help the bees in this way :) 🐝

So I think the seed from photo A must be "nagietek polny" - Calendula arvensis - in English commonly known also as field marigold.

Well done Barney! I'd never have got that.

It was easy for me as gardening, after home improvement, is my main hobby.

Thats a good thing to do, hope you planted them. If you dont have space you can grow wild flowers in containers but have to support them as they can be quite "leggy".

Maybe share a bit about that in the hobby thread? :):

Those seeds are for my grandma - she lives in the countryside, she has a garden and is a flower whisperer, so they're going to be in good hands :)))
