Look for clues in this thread:

I did and you explained that your wife made a vegetarian version of croquettes for your vegetarian kids. But you said I was wrong when I suggested croquettes.

Just because they don't have meat in doesn't mean that they're no longer a croquette.

vegetarian version of croquettes for your vegetarian kids

Yes, but croquettes look like rolled tubes while in the picture nothing is or is going to be rolled up. :):):

Sorry, I have just checked another thread and found out that apart from croquettes I mentioned other stuff but in a bit misleading way.
I wrote there: she added mountain cheese which sounded like another ingredient while I meant she added mountain cheese pieces as a dish for vegetarians.

Sorry for misunderstanding.:)):)

So, the plate on the right contains breadcrumbed cheese, two kinds.

How about the left plate?? There are two separate heaps. What and why?

Here is what you actually said:

Talking about croquettes. Normally Poles/Polesses have them with meat or mushroom/cabbage filling.

While my wife made them in another version with kale, onion, mushrooms, groats for our vegetarian kids. She also added mountain cheese.

You're hair-splitting again :)

How about the left plate?? There are two separate heaps. What and why?

I would say either 2 different types of meat for Kotlet Schabowy, maybe traditional pork and chicken. or more likely one of the heaps is a vegetarian version for your kids.

Of course not. :):):)
But never mind. We are above it. ):):)

Kotlet Schabowy, and chicken.

Yes!!!!

Now, what is it?

Of course not. :):):)

But yes :):)

You have written clearly in your own words that your wife made vegetarian croquettes :):)

Now, what is it?

Looks like carrot, cabbage and cucumber.

your wife made

Yes, and also cheese pieces. You could see them fried and dripping with melt cheese next to the croquettes. It was so obvious I used a linguistic shortcut. That is why I feel it is fair to reject your suggestions of hair splitting. :):)

Looks like

I didn`t ask what they are but what it is. :)

Yes, some raw veg. Never mind what exactly, it isn`t important. Sth else is.

You can reject it but it is obvious from what you have written that you are in the wrong and it will kill you to admit it :)

Sth else is.

Then it must be to do with how it's served? In that bowl? I don't think the date is significant.

it will kill you :

Actually, not. I admitted it in 544 and apologised twice. Ha!!! But if you are still intent on drilling this matter, that`s what we can call hair splitting.
Why are both Irish and British women in such argumentative moods today??? :):):)

In that bowl?

Yes, it matters a lot. It is quite atypical. Yet, used on the daily basis. The date doesn`t matter but it matters that was a family reunion.

To the extent that people felt provoked to take photos of it:

The only thing I can think of is that it has a sort of symbolic meaning? In the sense that there's always an empty plate for the stranger on Wigilia, this is a bowl for a family member who has passed?

Yes, a family member who hasn`t passed yet but it waiting for the bowl somewhere under the table. :):P):)

It's a bowl for one of your pets then. I can't imagine your cats liking Surówka though, is it for the tortoise?

Now, what is it?

Something that you leave out for hedgehogs or similar ?
OP pawian  222 | 26337
7 Jan 2025   #558
Sorry, jon, no hedgehogs in the house. The one we keep on our farm is hibernating in the garden.

is it for the tortoise?

Of course.
Putting that bowl on the table in front of the guests was just another monkeyish joke which I couldn`t resist.

What is it

An old computer keyboard, maybe even from Atari.

Looks like a well-used keyboard considering the amount of lost lettering.

well-used keyboard

Well used, yes. It is my fave keyboard. I repaint those keys from time to time but it suffices for a few weeks and then they fade again.

Memo to the Staff: when you see my typing in pre-posting stage on your screen, you might wonder why I make so many spelling mistakes but correct them immediately. It is because of that keyboard - the letters y-u-i-o-p are the most problematic in fast typing.

What is it?

Light effects? Are you playing with settings on your camera/phone?
OP pawian  222 | 26337
12 Jan 2025   #564
Yes, a little playing but not with settings. The image is real. It isn`t a new riddle - I showed such pics in previous years.

Like this one:

Yes, that shows a real event. So, it isn`t play with settings.
Unless you mean the setting aka spot with all the objects located there. Then you are correct.
So, what setting is it?
Feniks  1 | 686
12 Jan 2025   #567
that shows a real event.

I know. There are real lights there and you are adjusting camera settings.

what setting is it?

What I had in mind was exposure settings, longer shutter speeds and wider aperture to capture light trails.
OP pawian  222 | 26337
12 Jan 2025   #568
you are adjusting camera settings

No. I don`t know how to do it. :):):):

was exposure settings,

So no. The setting I am asking about is the one seen in the photo. Where, when and why???

Were you at a cemetery for All Saints/All Soul's Day and taking a picture of all the candles at night?
