Poland in photo riddles - part 2

@Chemikiem, I don't know, I somehow remember it as being salty - maybe it was simply that intense taste...

@johnny_reb, have you ever tried shark's meat?

Flipper was a dolphin which is delicious.

OMG, did you eat a dolphin??

Shark meat on the other hand is very dangerous to eat as it contains high levels of toxic chemicals.

Yikes... I didn't know that... It's good that I've tried it only once then...

@johnny_reb, have you ever tried shark's meat?

Yes, and I didn't care for it as it stunk and was tuff.

OMG, did you eat a dolphin??

Of course, what do you think mahi mahi is.

Yikes... I didn't know that...

Google it and you will be shocked to just how smart I am. lol

Of course, what do you think mahi mahi is.

But it's a fish from the Coryphaenidae family, not a dolphin (which is a mammal), it's only called dolphinfish... You didn't eat a real dolphin, right?

I've gotta say that mahi-mahi fish looks cool though - I've never heard of it or seen it before...

Google it

Well, I'm not going to eat it again, that's for sure lol

Really dolno, I got up extra early to solve that one and you had it before I was even out of bed.
My day is ruined unless the girls get another riddle up before lunch time.

365 windows, 52 doors, 33 steps 7 altars in the building

It's the biggest church in Poland apparently, with the biggest bell ;)

and 666 types of plastic souvenire on sale outside.

lol I haven't seen any when I was there, but generally the building is somewhat "plastic-fantastic". It isn't historic, it was built in the 1990's.

Sorry . I will leave things for a while in future to give others a chance, I will pm you instead.

Don't worry about it, it's supposed to be fun :)) Maybe I'll try to make more difficult riddles from time to time, so you would have some challenge too ;)

Perhaps this one is going to be a bit more difficult, let's see...

What is it made of, where was it made and how old it could be?
More advanced level - what is it called, who designed it and the date of the design (which year):

Is it from Ćmielów?
Paulina  16 | 4353

@jon357, yes, Ćmielów! :)

The only name I can think of from there is Naruszewicz, however I think there were others.

Wasn't he working from the 50s onwards? Some really beautiful stuff.

All I've got from Ćmielów is some mugs. The really nice stuff there is expensive.

@jon357, yes, Naruszewicz! Well done! :D And yes - the 1950's, so the figurine is decades old.

What about the rest of the more advanced level of the riddle? Anyone knows?

the more advanced level of the riddle?

Siedzący kot made by Fabryka Porcelany AS Ćmielów in 1956.
Paulina  16 | 4353
2 Feb 2021   #531
@Chemikiem, yes, exactly! :))) There was also a question what it's made of, but I guess it's pretty obvious by now that it's porcelain...

So, jon357 rocked it and Chemikiem finished it! :D

Well, to be more precise that figurine is the original so the name should be "Kot siedzący":

sprzedajemy.pl/new-look-kot-siedzacy-projekt-naruszewicz-cmielow-lata-60te-warszawa-2-7897fb-nr62529742

From what I can see the new versions made in Ćmielów factory these days are called "Siedzący kot":

as.cmielow.com.pl/pl/koty/781-siedzacy-kot-kolory.html

To be honest, I think I prefer the original version, it looks more elegant to me...

Two in a row is too much. It sort of kills it.

It's a lovely place. Last time I was there, there was a streaker running nude exactly where the picture shows. He looked a bit crazy.

Um, nope...

Two in a row is too much. It sort of kills it.

OK, so let's see who'll guess it besides you :)

Haha... I was spared such views, maybe because it was winter when I took that photo and it was really cold lol

OK, architecture again :) - where is it?

It even looks familiar to me, except the wires are throwing me off. I'll have to take a look through me photos and try and match it up.

A lot of cities in Poland look the same to me.

Is it Tarnobrzeg?

Krakow! I knew it looked familiar...
