Are there Palm trees in Poland? I seen a picture of Koliba beach and most of the pictures had palm trees.
Do they grow in Poland?

Your question was answered.

In nature - they don't.

So given the answer:

In nature - they don't.

Why do you ask:

Could you find them on a beach and which is the most common?

If you didn't like the answer you should have googled "how far north do palm trees grow"

Trachycarpus Fortunei Palms

Well you need to know that the plant wont survive more than -12 and be viable, Poland can be below -15 for months at a time where I am I have seen -30 , you can throw a cup of warm water in the air and it turns to ice.

If anybody wants to buy Trachycarpus Fortunei Palms

I once fancied having such palms in my garden but they didn`t survive the first winter. Later I found a gardening forum where they explained how to protect the plants - incredible methods, including Christmas tree lights wrapped around the palm to keep them warm.

Are there Palm trees in Poland?

There is one in Warsaw. It had problems some time ago but they were overcome.

Does anyone know where I can buy full size plastic palm trees, I am building a house and want to go with a chav'y tracy island theme ( no I am not kidding) , would also be interested in any other plastic shrubs, needless to say I want things as lock up and leave, therefore no gardening.

I did and they died inside. :)

Hmm, they will look good in the first year, then it will be only worse, I am afraid.

Funny you should say that... ;-)

We gave up on banana trees too (though a friend in PoznaƄ has giant ones indoors). The olive trees are doing nicely.

With palms, they are not at all easy to grow. Even in the Arab world, their natural home, they're highly prized. The fine in Saudi if you crash into one is huge.

It wasn`t a joke. I left them inside our summer house which is not heated in winter. The temp could be around 1 - 2 degrees.

Like hurting a holy cow in India?

Would the exotic Albizia (Persian silk tree) grow in Poland?

Yes, it would but has to be heavily protected during winter.
