With cars it always was a level playing field - there were no tariffs in either direction and so it came down to consumer choice

You must be sure to make your statement.Germany, for one, was charging a 10% tariff, and America was charging 2.5 %. There is no blind like one who refuses to see

Despite all this, American cars in Europe were quite cheap, although more expensive than all cars, including imports, in the USA. Now that will change for Americans. The car will become a luxury.
